Tennis Australia is investigating reports that Bernard Tomic's father John has been involved in an altercation with the world No 49's hitting partner Thomas Drouet in Madrid.

A report on France's RMC radio said John Tomic would appear in court in Madrid on Monday over the incident, which they said had left the Frenchman with a fractured nose and damaged vertebrae.

Not sure about the accuracy of the injuries just yet, but it looks like the tree continues to poison the apple.

The most embarassing thing is that Thomas Drouet allowed this happen to Mr. Tomic.....have you seen a picture of this man, he looks like he's 60 and weak. Drouet is 29 for goodness sake.

Some of the reports I read indicate that he headbutted him, so I'm sure he caught him off-guard and used all 60 years of knowledge in his skull to crack Drouet. If Drouet weren't French, people would probably care more.
