I've been under the impression that betting tennis can almost be like stealing from the bookie... That is if you're betting big tournaments that actually mean something...
It's safe to say when big names and favorites play smaller tournaments like challengers and even ATP 250's or sometimes 500's... they just don't put 100% effort as it's not a grand slam. I've seen soo many SURE things turn into WTF's because of the size of the tournament...
That being said I've been betting on a lot of Tennis lately and have been doing really well. It's tough to bet $3500 to win $100 on say Nadal in these small tournaments as I mentioned previously so I stay away from it. That's one way to get caught!
So I've been sticking to doing all the research on players I can, their head to head matchup plays a big roll, the surface they're playing on, how much they've traveled just to get to their first round etc...
What are some tips and tricks you use and how often do you get caught betting on a favorite only to lose big when trying to win little.
