I love these home country wildcards in these smaller tournaments. They often know they have nothing to lose and capitalize on their opponents lesser expectation of how decent they can play. Beck, at the ripe age of 19 can lose to anyone, and I mean anyone. She played a tournament in Pattaya earlier this year and lost to a 250 ranked Thai wildcard in straight sets (see: http://tennisinsight.com/match_previ...h_id=178034106) Beck is clearly the better player but I think nerves and sloppy play could do her in.
