I just have to ask: How was he unlucky not to win MP? That was one of the best rallies of the entire match, and Ferrer lost it fair and square. Murray hit an insane winner but bitch Daviiiiiid ruined it by challenging.What a lucky escape that was! Great match to watch, highly entertaining but also highly frustrating! Murray certainly likes to win the hard way at times! Failing to maintain his lead of a break on 3 occasions in the deciding set as well as failing to serve out for the match at 5-4. Way too many errors from Murray early on in the match and he deserved to lose the opener, fortunately Ferrer returned the favour making several errors of his own in the 2nd set to level it up. Huge credit to Ferrer, who as always, battled for every ball in every point, never knows when he's beat and was unlucky not to have won when holding match point. It may have ended up being a much closer match than I had anticipated but the most important thing is that Murray came through it in the end and picked up the win
It makes you wonder: What would have transpired had Murray hit the winner out or in the net instead...Comment -
I understand what your saying hardcoar. I only meant it in the sense that Ferrer on so many occasions has been the 'nearly man'. He's one of my favourite players on tour but always seems to just come up short on the big stage against the top 3 + Nadal. You're right, it was one of the best rallies in the match and a great winner from Murray, no denying that. I think Ferrer challenged more in hope than expectation yeah. I can understand the dissapointment for Ferrer backers though. It was a great match, so many momentum swings and some insane rallies.Comment -
