ohumad I really like your live betting! What are your tactics? Is there anything particular you keep your eye on when observing momentum switches or you just bet dogs who you believe will get back in the match? Especially errani yesterday, match was not even streamed and you put 25 units on errani who won only one game up to that point (yes, she's a fighter and I had a bet on her too, but 25 units? )

If the price is right I make a pick, but yes I particularly like to take advantage of the higher odds on a player who's losing who I think will win, be it favourite or underdog. Take it with a grain of salt but I think it's all common sense stuff.

Just like regular picking do your research. Knowing about a player's mental strength which is related to his/her ability to close out games or make a comeback is particularly important. MagicDF on these boards always goes on about the mental weakness of lower level players and their inability to seal the deal. For this reason I don't like betting on dogs who are up on very heavy favourites, I'd rather bet the other way as a general rule so that's one tactic. Another way I have used live betting which I think is almost useless is if I like a dog but am not confident enough maybe I'll watch how the first few games play out and then place the bet. You lose out on some value especially if the dog breaks but it's a safe guard against the dog being blown out from the start. A spot to capitalize on is if a favourite loses the first set by no fault of their own (outplayed) you take the dog for the second set. Of course the problem is judging whether he/she is playing to his potential which may sound like a load of BS but if you have the dog picked before play for the match it's somewhat of a confirmation. A recent example would be the Falla-Verdasco match where you could see Verdasco (the fave) making some really wild shots in the first set and whose recent form was terrible in other tournaments. The match odds weren't the best after Falla won the first set (I took it though) but with a little more risk you could get better odds on the second set winner. If it does lose books believe the favourite will win the match anyways. Or it may be problematic because the underdog might take it easy.

Today Melzer lost the first set 6-2. I noticed near the end of the set he was showing some fight and he was putting a bit more power in for some easy winners. Betting on the play off a few games is very stupid but knowing that he's not being completely outclassed in combination with the fact that I picked him from the start because I thought he was capable of winning was enough to try for higher odds. If a player goes down a set but isn't showing vital signs I'll watch the second set and see how well he holds, if he gets a love-30 opportunity, breaks back etc. just to see some evidence that the comeback is possible.

My line of thinking for the Errani-Ivanovic match:I believed she would win from the start. I noticed that she had lost the first set in similar fashion to Ivanovic in their last meeting. Is it even possible that she only got one game off? Either Ivanovic is playing like a man or Errani is not playing to her usual level. Plus you knew and I knew she's a fighter. No stream so had to risk the guess but it seemed reasonable that she would step it up.
