Is Daniel Garza worth a small play at +816
I see Alund has been playing solid tennis as of late, reaching the semi finalin Sao Paulo a weeks ago beating Volandri and Chardy along the way.

BUTTTTTTTTTTTT........Does Alund deserve to be at -1100?? Looking back in the last 2 months he's shown us he's capable of laying eggs. Lost to 246th ranked Reister, 144th Odesnik, 179th Schwartzman, 145th Souza and 246th Salamanca. These losses are all in his last 20 matches.

Sure Garza is pretty weak, ranked in the 400s....but who knows right.

A guy like Alund should never be that large a favorite in my opinion. After all, there's a reason he's ranked around 100 in the world.

Garza is a fat short mexican guy.

Pretty sure he will lose confortably. I would consider the spread though, if you have a good feeling about Garza

I know nothing about Garza. I'm doing something small because I dont think Alund is deserving to be -1100 at this point in his career.

Didn't you hear? Alund is mini-Nadal!

Odds should be twice as high on Garza!

mini-Nadal.....but with 5 losses in last few months to guys outside the top 100.
Has some quality wins, but questionable defeats. Seems like consistency is an issue.....hopefully today is a inconsistent day

I was being sarcasatic. It's an obvious bullshit line. Clearly worth a shot @ 13.

Ok, he will lose by many, i would say.1

17% points won on 1st serve is very bad even if just starting.

I always thought he would lose by a lot.

What I don't think is that the odds were justifiable.

Absolutely. Whether he does, or is likely to is a whole different story. It's all in the odds.

Even thought Garza lost 7-6, 7-5.....it was definately worth a shot in my opinion.

I went $25 to win $204......and it gave good entertainment for a few hours. Heck, Garza even had a few set points in the 1st set....too bad he couldnt grab one of them.

If you didn't get the memo, the match was fixed (rigged, set up).

I don't know if it was just Alund, but far more likely both were engaged in an agreement including an obvious third party.

There is no fix sir when a tiebreak goes to 9-7. Thats one error from one screw!ng the fix and being in serious trouble with whomever was involved. So no sir, there was no fix here.

I actually went through the effort of making some very serious coverage of the information in the live commentary thread, so see a page or two back if you'd like.

Let's just say that the very fact that there was about five times as much money matched on ML in that match as would have been usual is proof in its own right. Also see the point by point scoring for massive suspiciousness.

                                  Follow the money. Money talks.

HAHA....I just read your thread, conspiracy theory guys like you kill me. Are you suggesting we should have jumped on board with -1100?

Nothing out of the ordinary here people, just a typical tennis match.

Yeah nothing out of the ordinary whatsoever about the facts I mentioned in the post above.

                                      Nothing at all...

I wasn't suggesting we should have jumped on Alund, but I will now: @ 1.4 we should have indeed.

What I was suggesting, however, is that market movements never lie.

Feel free to disagree though, of course!
