I guess 2-0 won't be the case as ferrer will fight his ass off and stan just isn't too stable to hold that pace the entire game. I see one possibility for his win:
1) rush to ferrer asap and get a break, try to hold serve until the end of first set(happend to ferrer quite a lot to get broken early, he alwas gets it back tho)
2) Tank second set and prepare to do something nasty in the third one.
3) Wait for an opportunity and hope for a break in last set, pull off some miraculous one-handed bh down the line

He is, but Wawrinka is very impressive too. That doesn't matter though. When it comes down to the wire what matters is the odds, and they are simply too high @ 4.

hah yeah...well ferrer did exactly the same thing he did several matches this tournament, got broken and initially breaking back, winning the first set. Wawrinka plays better as the match continues. Dunno if it is just my feeling but ferrer who was born on clay seems lately somewhat uncomfortable playing slow surfaces...got used to indoor hard during winter I guess haha

anyway, congrats on the spread and hopefully ML bet pharaoh! Didn't bet this game but if I did I would be sweating my balls as I intended to go with ferrer

Ferrer really turned it up after being down a break. I just need on more hold here to at least hit my spread bet. Would be crazy for that not to hit after being up 1-0 on serve!

Btw...do you know why I like betting on ferrer? He's like the most predictable and stable player on tour. He barely ever loses to same level/lower level players JUST BECAUSE he doesn't give up on match, always pedal to the metal. That's why. He doesn't own any outstanding part of the game. Just his heart and unbelievable averageness is what makes him what he is. That's why I leaned towards him, I did not say there was no value in wawrinka...

Things appear to be the same in this case. It sounded Spanish-like but no one understood him. They appreciated the gist of what he was saying though and his attempt, although more of a jest. : P

I completely agree with your statement on Ferrer. He also happens to be one of my favorite players on tour. I leaned towards him as well in the sense I believed him likely to win, but to me odds of about @ 3.25 for Wawrinka would have been representative of actual probability.

The reason I asked whether you were being serious in your remark, is because it's utterly pointless basing the value of a bet on the actual outcome in one particular instance of the event. This tells us very little. You could, however, argue that Ferrer @ 1.33 is value, and it would simply be a matter of differing opinions, but that was my question to begin with: How could you argue such a thing? It was a serious question, because I cannot understand it myself, despite Ferrer's general stability and effort.

That's not to say I'm right though! Perhaps if the match was played in a hundred parallel universes Ferrer would still win in more than 75 % of the instances. I can only act based on what I believe in the end.

Depends on the time of year. Right now I am 75% NCAA and the rest split evenly between tennis and NBA. If that answers your question? NCAA bk is one of the most profitable sports for me. NBA used to be my best, but I haven't really been able to keep up with the league this year.
