Well, basically the whole match was quite scrappy, particularly from 2:nd onwards. Neither player was playing well and it was very back and forth. After Donaldson lost seven straight points in the tiebreak (from 4-1 IIRC), with a 1:st % for the set of about 30% and started talking loudly about how there was no way he could win the match, expectations weren't all that high. Donaldson then lifted his game and Smyczek dropped his heading into 3:rd and Donaldson made off to a 4-0 start. He then received a point penalty for (I believe) saying something to the crowd and just lost it completely in the end. I think his fatigue was physical as much as it was mental though.
