Can someone explain to me why Federer just hits that waffle defending style backhand? He seems to overuse it and it's very ineffective?
What is the reasoning for him to continuously use it?
Is he just returning hoping DelPotro makes an unforced error?
The positioning on the ball doesn't seem to hurt Delpotro's attack on it.

Just seems like a shot you would use on occasion, not every other shot.

It's funny if you look at the scoreboard you'd think it was probly a great match, but it's been absolutely awful. Federer way better today just kept giving it away.
