I'm hoping that a cartel battle breaks out before this one is over. Falla's dealer is in the stands, so he was able to give Falla a "pick me up" between sets two and three. Home advantage is often overvalued, but that doesn't seem to be the case here.Comment -

Sitting yesterday in the car with Janko Tipsarevic and Rainer Schuettler and listening them how many win/losses in the finals of ATP's they had, how much they earned... Just made me want that even more! I am really pumped right now! Today playing in the evening on Center Court.. Ajdeee!!! =)

#5088Two bets I had last night. The one mentioned here, which stood to win me $180. But no, Korolev the weak Dog had to bloody retire.Originally posted by MiddleManI'm on Guccione to win @ $1.90. I often feel uncomfortable when your player wins so easily (6-1) in the opening set. I always fear a retirement is coming on, and my agency doesn't pay out unless a match is fully completed. Korolev has retired twice this year. Please don't make it a third.
The second bet I had was in the Nielson and Dustov game. A Dustov win would have won me $132, and a Nielson win would have still won me $20. Dustov bloody retires.

#5091I've just reported Seppi v M.Granollers match to Tennis Integrity Unit for possible fixing. No way Seppi would lose to a player who's lost 4 out of his last 5 games, not after he's had a great Wimbledon tourney.
Marcel's brother Gerrard is a well-known fixer in the ITF/Challenger circuit. 2-6 6-1 2-6 at an ATP World Tour event is quite a fishy result. Whether Marcel was in it or not, that one was definitely fixed.
And yes: have nothing better to do nowadays

#5093Not saying it wasn't a fix but I think Granollers could beat Seppi. His recent losses were against strong players in Gulbis, Gasquet, Lopez and Paire.Originally posted by FoxMulderI've just reported Seppi v M.Granollers match to Tennis Integrity Unit for possible fixing. That Safarova game was just horrible, I always stay away from her. I seriously think Granollers game was a fix. Losing 4 out of 5 and beating in-form Seppi all of a sudden? Lopez is perhaps too gullable to fix any game. But Gulbis and Paire are losing to anyone nowadays. Can't beat Gulbis, can't beat Paire but thrashed Seppi all of a sudden? Either they are in it together or it's just Seppi, don't know. But this is an abnormal result (both in game momentum and game result) warranting a closer look.Originally posted by ohumadNot saying it wasn't a fix but I think Granollers could beat Seppi. #5097There are fishy results in ITF Women circuit as well but that's just women's tennis. I always wait for the first set result. If underdog wins it, I beat large stake on the favorite as match winner. If favorite wins, I go larger stake on the underdog for the second set. Never fails.Comment -

#5103I say introduce lie detectors post-game! Who has been punished for match fixing in the history of the sport? I really should look into that. Another thing that's frustrating is when some players get frustrated they pretty much throw the match. Not that they are mentally hurt which will obviously affect the game but that in combination with purposed wild shots to end the match sooner ie. Kerber/Cirstea Miami.Originally posted by FoxMulderI could have reported Monfils too but there would be no basis. Monfils was just being Monfils.

Throwing the match also is against tennis ethics set by TIU. A player is supposed to play to the best of his/her ability. Those players who get frustrated at umpire, crowd, etc and simply tank the rest on purpose ought to be fined.
Interesting article below.I'm sure whatever Odesnik told the board didn't even scratch the surface of it.
