Americans to be excited for?

Seriously, Isner has the big serve - but not likely the complete game to every win a major.

Sam Querrey has a nice forearm, but looked like he was going down to Brian Baker at the Australian Open. Will he ever have success at the big events?

Mardy Fish can't be relied on with his history of injuries and the same goes for Baker.

Harrison is a bum, not even sure how he is ranked as high as he is.

Tim Smyczek held is own for a set against Ferrer & Jack Sock didn't compete as he was working on his game in Miami I believe.

I guess the better question would be, do you see any of these guys ever winning?

Ryan Harrison is still young... I hate the guy personally as he has probably cost me more money then he's made in his career, but I think he could be a top 10 player eventually

Querrey's glaring weakness is his backhand. If he seriously works on the backhand and gets it to decent form, he's the only American remaining that has the potential to hit the top 10.

Fish has the skills but no health.

I still think Steve Johnson is going to be the next solid US player for US men's tennis. Maybe not so much that he's going to win a Grand Slam, but he has shown already on hard courts @ Slams that he can stick with some solid players. Big thing for him is finding consistency at all tournaments, especially to help avoid having to play qualis at Slams which wear you out and diminish your chances of doing a ton of damage in the main draw.

I still don't think all that much of Jack Sock. He's got some game, but I don't think he's got a whole lot of variety.

i completely desagree with you...Jack Sock is the next number 1 american for me....and speaking of Johnson i find him not good at all(he is good of course but we are talking high level here)...he was good at NCAA tennis but i dont see even making it even in the top 50..ive seen a few of his matches and i dont think he has talent...but who am i? nothing!!! so maybe im completly wrong and you are right!!!looool
