Tsonga is no Raonic and I highly doubt that Fed will straight set the frenchman tonight. Tsonga has pressured Fed several times over the last few years. He's taking Fed to the brink on several occasions and has even beaten the swiss master on his favorite court (Wimbledon) in a tough 5 setter. Tsonga loves the courts here at the Aussies and his game blends in very well on this surface. It would be foolish to think that Tsonga hasn't gotten into Fed's head because he has.

I'm not saying that Tsonga will beat Fed tonight but taking a set is definitely in the works for the frenchman. I believe having such an easy match vs Raonic might even hurt Fed's timing today because Tsonga's game is much more complex than the young canadian.

Take TSONGA +2.5 sets -145 .....its a solid bet.

That may have a chance of hitting if Fed straight sets tonight. If one of these sets go into a tie breaker, it will be tough regardless of who wins that set. If Fed wins that tiebreaker, I dont see Tsonga rolling over the next two sets. If Tsonga wins a set, you're pretty much screwed because I dont see Fed dominating with a 6-2 type set against Tsonga. His serving is stout and his groundstrokes are much more consistent vs Raonic's.

Just my thoughts though ....good luck.

Indeed he looked very nice. His groundstrokes have improved quite a bit and are much more consistent to be able and hang with Fed for five sets. He definitely had moments of winning this match. Few points away during that tie break. This match will strengthen Tsonga much like the way Murray's lost to Djoker.
