The one thing that really stands out to me is how guys like Ferrer and Federer are crushing that notion of the age decline in tennis. Ferrer obviously has spirit, he doesnt sulk he just speeds up when he is down or nervous, but he has incredible stamina and physical conditioning. Ferrer had probably his greatest year last year at age 30 and he will turn 31 in April and Fed just keeps killing it at 31.Comment -

#125Very true. Nothing worse than having money on a fighter who you know is going to finish the match even though they are going to lose.
Llodra is another impressive retiree. Davydenko, Malisse, Mathieu,Kiefer,Volandri. Del Potro has alot of retirements at a young age.Comment -

#127Davydenko is at the top for retirements of any active player, but he is under the microscope every time he retires after the sopot poland gambling scandal. It really makes you wonder sometimes what makes a player even play a match if they know they arent feeling well. Federer has never retired in a match, and only withdrawn from a few tourneys and he is 31 years old.Comment -

Expect Berdy to pick it up a notch this second set.Comment -
