Sorry TM, I didnt mean to thump your thread by rooting for Stan but as a true tennis fan, something like this doesnt happen often. It's 700am here and I still havent slept yet....cant turn off the TV when a once in a lifetime match like this happens.

nah its all good man you usually pop into a thread when you got good insight that goes against the OP's bet or analysis, one of my worst bets but best thread i ever made

yeah, best match I've ever watched. makes me wish i tried to play when i was in HS. the athleticism and quick feet and quick thinking/power you need to win... yet you see so many "graceful" hits from these guys too... while flying in the air. love it.

its why i love to play beach volleyball, takes a lot of the same skill-sets to be a good player.

I was on a tennis team in HS and played some tournaments in college. I think thats where I get a slight edge on picks. I usually break down every component of these players game and can get a hunch when some of these guys groundstrokes are fading.

Tennis is an awesome sport. Fitness wise, I believe tennis is much more vigorous than basketball football and requires lot more hand eye coordination as well.

For wagering , nothing tops betting and watching tennis. No way in hell I stay up til 7am watching baskets or football. No other sport matches the excitement of Grand Slam tennis imo.

Djokovic, fitness wise, doesn't even seem fazed. I wouldn't put too much into it. Djokovic will be higher than -170 if he plays Berdych I think.
