Don't let Vinci's much higher ranking fool you, take Vesnina today.
Vesnina is in the best form of her career currently. She plowed over the field on her way to earn the title at Hobart just earlier this month. She crushed almost every opponent in straight sets(all but one opponent). Now these were not opponents on the caliber of a Williams/Pova or anything, but they were still impressive wins the way she dismantled them rather easily.
Vinci may be the overall better player but currently her form is questionable. She notched a quality win over Petrova earlier this month .....but just a week before that, lost to #183 ranked Gajdosova. Also, Vinci's age and fitness might come into play should this go to a 3rd setter.
I believe this line to be razor sharp and taking Vesnina for 3 units.
