    Discussion - Wawrinka/Querrey
Books have Wawrinka as a slight favorite in tonight's match. I feel like they are equally skilled players but am leaning quite heavily on Wawrinka for tonight's match - Querrey historically has done pretty poorly in Australia, and his success or failure is more dependent on his serve than Wawrinka. I feel the one handed backhand down the line will be on display tonight. Any and all comments welcome and encouraged.

People have gone in on Querrey apparently, price drifted about 25 cents from just a couple hours ago. I don't think there will be many surprises in this match much like the other two times they met. Tie breaks loom large. Neither is a particularly "great" TB player. Looked up stats, Querrey is 50% and Wawrinka in the 40s for win % in TBs. I tend to lean Wawrinka. Going to wait and see how wack a doodle the price goes this afternoon. I think Querrey is still too Isneresque in his approach in that he relies heavily on winning the cheapies with the serve. His forehand is good, but I think he should be blasting it for more routine winners. Rallies should favor Wawrinka who has that sweet backhand, even though his forehand struggles some. I think Wawrinka wins or loses based off his errors. When he's got more winners than errors or at least very minimal errors - he's tough.

I'm surprised it is this close.... I see Wawrinka as the better player.

Pinny has Wawrinka at -125 / -1.5 (+100) at the moment.

I definitely lean Wawrinka fairly heavily here at this price. I think Querrey was fairly fortunate to have Baker retire in his last match as he was getting outplayed. His first opponent wasn't a challenge at all, being totally unable to handle Querrey's serve, whereas Baker took much of that edge away.

Querrey has not looked good in the least in his limited action this far. I'm betting Wawrinka here just debating how hard.

Nearly everyone is on Wawrinka, we know how that usually pans out ...

Sam is too one dimensional. What is it with these Americans thinking a heavy serve is all you need to win? I'd be stunned if he pulled this off, Wawrinka ain't elite but he is a damn good tennis player with at least multiple components to his game.

I like Wawrinka in this one Tevari.

Querrey seems to fade slightly when it comes to big matches. His serving remains strong but I notice during big matches, his groundstrokes turn to crap especially his backhand. It becomes a total liability. I can picture Wawrinka pounding Querrey's backhand all match long.

I'll take Wawrinka's experience all day long vs Querrey.

Thanks for all the comments. Sitting this one out. Playing Kerber in straight sets to dismiss the upstart Keys at 7pm EST. Good luck to those who wager on this match.
