#148My prediction is that tto and akatdog tie for first place... which would be amazing for two guys who have never played my contests before! And then right when I think I'm done grading these things, I'm stuck going back to look for dogs in the first round as a tiebreak.
If there's ever a Slam without at least one tiebreak involved it'll be a miracle. Next time we might just do flip a coin or something.

#151I was following this and thought that would be the scenario, but wasn't sure. Hopefully it happens like that. I'll be interested to see how many first round upsets I took, because my first round picks had all seeded players winning, and the rest were COMPLETELY random.
Thanks again for the contest Shari, probably time to ask SBR to step up and get the sportsbook/contest to deal with tennis so you don't have to grade this for the next one.Comment -

#155SBR's been trying for awhile to get the software sorted for tennis contests but realistically since Slams only happen 4 times a year, I completely understand why it's not a high priority. Personally as a poster I'd rather them focus on the more important stuff. And the contest software still messes up sometimes for NBA, NCAA, whatever... because it relies on outside feeds. I don't mind doing this and in fact would probably lose out on actual cash winnings in the first few rounds if I didn't. So yeah it's a bitch at times but I love it in a sick way. I'll miss it once it's fully automated some day to be honest. Such a good chance for me to interact with people about the sport I truly love!Originally posted by tto827I was following this and thought that would be the scenario, but wasn't sure. #156I don't like all the bitching Lendl's been doing about Murray not playing a night match yet. That's the only thing that's keeping me a bit cold on him. Normally players and support like to keep things close to their chest ie Serena's wacked out ankle... "oh I'm fine" and the thing was bigger than my entire ass cheek. Lendl's usually tight lipped so I can't figure out why he's so vocal about the scheduling. No fan would've been happy to pay $150+ to see Murray play any of his opponents so far at night on Rod Laver. Makes total sense so I don't get why he's crying so much. Makes me wonder what's going on although I do still think he beats Fed.Originally posted by beefcakeJust the way I like it.Nobody giving Murray a chance...Keep on talkin...

#158I had thought of your 2nd scenario but not the first. But you're right. Maybe this is something picking Murray's ass/ego for whatever reason and Lendl's yapping now to show Murray that someone has his back. It's just so strange. Lendl was not really ever one of 'those' guys so to hear this being talked about constantly is surprising to me. Especially since him and Murray were practicing on Hisense at night to get ready for it. Will be interesting for sure.Originally posted by OptionalCould be to placate Murray's own complaints, or at least to say it before Murray busts out and says it himself. #160weird complaint to make
I don't even see how that's a disadvantage. Murray has played several night matches at the AO in past years. I assume he could practice at night if he really wanted to? I guess he'd say his practices wouldn't be on the same court, but it's a little ridiculous. Players are not entitled to play night matches before the semis.[quote=jjgold;5683305]I win again like usual

#167Joker to win AO on 5 Dimes right now -170. Remember if Fed were to win, he would be a strong favorite and -170 would look good. I still think if Murray wins in normal fashion and not spectacular he would be a 2-1 dog at least to Joker...right now has the appearance of indestructible.Comment -

#170Murray looks good. He looks so much stronger than he did 18 months ago, and he plays the big points well.
I was really surprised watching this semi. He was serving for the match in the 4th, and ends up losing the set.
I thought it was fold city. Instead he breaks Fed early in the 5th.

I'm really looking forward to Joker-Murray final. I think it's going to be a great match, and I'm leaning Murray,Comment -

#172I was the same watching... old Murray would've crumbled after he failed to serve it out. Him bouncing back like that was really impressive. So glad I wasn't live betting or else I probably would've lost heaps on Fed at that point! The only thing I didn't like were some of the cocky faces he was pulling, although the one right before he got broke was pretty hilarious. For the contest I obviously need to hope for Djoko but really I want Murray to win. Just hoping it's exciting either way!Originally posted by SamDiamondMurray looks good. #173Is that a new thing for him?Originally posted by shari91The only thing I didn't like were some of the cocky faces he was pulling, although the one right before he got broke was pretty hilarious.
I was wondering if he was trying to be funny a couple of times. Once he looked like he wanted to burst out laughing after a Fed error but had the weirdest look on his face like he trying with all his might not to smile.
