Got the year on the date right this time. Looking to split these at worst and earn a little. Fuckeroo!
ATP Auckland: Wickmayer +130
Wickmayer continued her assault in Auckland yesterday with a rain delayed straight setter over fellow Belgie Flipkens. Another solid effort and I really liked the fire shown as Wickmayer was agitated that Flipkens would not play through the sprinkles when the match was closing in on a sure win for Wickmayer. Barthel has looked mostly solid this week as well, but clearly had a low level of competition. Both will be playing their best opponent thus far. Interesting note that these two played twice last year. Once when Barthel surprised everyone and beat Wickmayer in Hobart and then Wickmayer returned the favor with a three set win in February on an indoor surface. The interesting note that Barthel goes to Hobart again with loads of points to defend while Wickmayer chose to go to Sydney instead for her final tune-up to the Aussie Open.
ATP Brisbane: Dolgopolov +120
Could be a shot maker's delight between Dolgpolov & Nishikori. This seems to be the time of year when Dolgopolov is healthiest and has made a couple of big runs. Last year at this tournament to the final and 2011 to the Aussie Open quarters. This could come down to serve and consistency. Both guys are streaky good when they're on. Just a feeling that Dolgopolov is again hot to start the season.
