Time to begin banging my head back on the concrete with some tennis wagering. Obviously it's exhibition play, so anything can happen. Interested to see what Isner is going to do this season. He parted with his long-time coach in favor of Michael Sell, the old coach of Monica Seles. I like that Isner knew that something needed to change as he gradually leveled off after a superb start to 2012 that featured the monumental win on clay against Federer in the Davis Cup. Sell is a UGA boy like Isner, so I think they are going to bond and form a good working relationship. Not sure what if anything they are going to change up with his approach and likely this match with Kevin Anderson is going to follow suit with past match-ups where we see a tie break or two to decide it. They split two matches in 2012. Anderson has a match in-hand already with the win over Verdasco with his serving being nearly untouchable. I would expect some experimentation perhaps early from Isner and his new coach. That could mean big rewards, but it also means that wins and losses won't be an accurate measure of what they want to accomplish. Being a match that could come down to tie breaks - Isner is always a beast in that regard, but it's also still very close to a coin flip given the big serves of each. Hot as a mother f-er already in Perth + some wind, so I think an edge to the man with match conditions already played.
I Spy: Anderson +120
