THis line is ridiculous. Tipsy is by far the better player especially on this surface. Fatigue is the reason why the line is the way it is. But TIpsy can still make London if he wins this tourney. I think his power will overwhelm Simon on this surface. Simon is too defensive and I don't like a defensive player against a baseline power player on indoor hard courts.

line is weird. tipsy was favored around -180 against simon last time and beat him, and now he's a dog? books look like they're really taking the fatigue thing seriously. if this were nba or mlb or whatever, that would pretty much tell me what the play is. however, this is tennis and i'm not too sure how important this kind of shit is in tennis.

Absolute toss-up. Third time going against the same player in a span of six weeks or so. Very difficult to know what to expect. Simon absolutely not the guy you want to face if you're tired in any way, shape or form. All he is going to do is make you engage in long rallies and if you choose not to - you're likely playing right into his hands unless you're a line hittin' SOB all match long.

Seems a silly pick when you start out saying that "fatigue is the reason" for the line and you take the guy who is the likely fatigue victim. I think if motivation were a lone factor, sure Mr.T would be the guy - but that didn't help him against Zemlja. Remember this guy has been battling tonsilitis as well for several weeks.

Simon leads in the H2H 5-2 and has beaten Tipsy rather easily and convicingly in Bangkok recently 6-4, 6-4 playing good tennis and serving well, plus he's not that defensive when he plays well, changing the pace of the ball quickly like in Bangkok and then he becomes a really dangerous player.
He has victories over the likes of Nadal and Federer on this surface so he can be very decent indoor.
That being said, tipsy looks tired after a long season and Simon has minor injuries here and there apparently so unpredictable match.

I like Tips. Forget the fatigue. Tips has so much to play for here. Odds are Nadal is going to withdraw from the championship. Alamagro is hot on his tail for the 9th position which would get the 8th spot with Nadal's withdrawl. Tips know he needs the points bad.

Tipsy is way better than Simon and it's not close. Simon is regressing as a player. The only reason his ranking is so high is because he plays so many tournaments. He's done nothing in the major tournaments since he had a kid.

Tipsy was up 3-0 in the first set and then I'm assuming the injury started to kick in and it ended up 5-4 before retirement. A healthy Tipsy will smoke a healthy Simon on the indoor hards I'm telling you Tipsy is by far the better player during the last 2 years.
