WOW 4/5 possibly 5/5 big dogs hitting in austria... major fixes
Del po now tanking after muller/young/thiems all rolled as big dogs... now a -1400 fav is hitting the dust as he can't break brands to save his life... what were the books thinking making these bums favorites by any stretch?

That Melzer loss really, really bothers me. I don't have the balls to take Devvarman on the moneyline but did lay a chunk on the +5 1/2.

The fix talk again, c'mon you should really be learning better by now. Do you always think any time a dog wins that it's a fix? Or just because a player is ranked lower that it has to be a fix?

End of the year. 250 level tournaments that offer little motivation to the big boys. Effort levels low for a lot of guys. Injuries, both known and hidden all over. Locals play big in front of the home crowds. Nothing new really.

Watched the Del Po match, believe me that guy cared and wanted to win it. Give Brands credit he played well.

I cashed a parlay with gulbis and delpo to cap my 6 teamer, just shocked at how outplayed Delpo was on his own game serving, didn't know brands had a lights out serve and solid game... Guess you need to take the -1000+ lines with a grain of salt

Realize Del Potro is still banged up with that wrist too. That injury is not going to fully heal until the season ends and he can take a lot of time off.

Completely agree. Plus look where some of the tournaments are. Maybe these guys just want to get home to their families. I noticed a lot more effort from favorites in was it shanghai last week? I heard players love it there because of the nice hotel they get put up in and spoils. I think some players don't show up for less controversial reasons then fixing matches.

Masters events & Slams are usually the most reliable tournaments as far as getting the best effort level from the majority. These 250s, you have to look at situations for any of the names - what is their purpose? A guy like Melzer is playing out the strong on a shit year and people probably jumped on him for the home cooking aspect, but the guy has been garbage for almost all the year. Then you've got your Del Potros and Tipsarevic's who are still chasing spots in the Tour Finals and should be efforting to whatever their bodies allow at this stage. Others could be using these to rebuild or build ranking points to finish the year. It's a time of year when it really pays to read up for injury purposes especially & know what players have at-stake, if anything.
