More one sided that the score suggested. Murray pretty dominante in all areas. It did produce one of the best points I have seen for a long time, try to find it somewhere, craking point.

The Fed that shows up vs Nadal in Grand Slams was the one playing today...lousy service games and all his returns hitting the bottom of the net. And there was a triple double-fault in there on the 2nd set which helped Murray get the crucial break.

Yeah Murray wasn't at his best this week, but he managed to play well at the right times, just like today. Didn't dominate but Fed's unforced errors just gave him a path to victory.

Federer past his peak, Murray hitting his peak with confidence from Olympics and US Open.

That simple really, Murray is just a better outdoor hard courter than Roger is right now.

there are two player right now that are way ahead of all others and roger is not one of them. this game could have been 6-4 6-2 and roger could not have complained, won 54% of his serve points only, unbelievable on such a fast hard court. the matchup against murray is a catastrophe for federer actually.
but i want you guys to look at feds season, he won wimbledon where there was no rafa and djokovic played the worst game of the season (although i admit federer really deserved that win) and then in the final he would have gone down if not for the rain. then he was humiliated in the finals of olympics after he could hardly win against del potro where the matchup actually favors federer a lot. and then he was beaten rather easily by berdych in the quarters of the us open. he also won in cincinnati where there was no rafa and djokovic had breathing troubles (everyone who saw the match can prove that).
and his clay court season was real bad, getting blasted off the court by djokovic in rome and at the french (score line not really indicative of the match).
just my 2 cents, playing against federer against the spread in almost every match, you should look at his return numbers, 15th and 16th on the tour, not possible to cover any spread with those numbers if the opponent puts up a normal match. rafa djoker and murray obviously rank on top of the return numbers and since all of their forehands are becoming more equal, the backhands receive more importance and federer is outclassed there. just saying that as soon as feds serve lets him down or there is someone who can put those serve sback into play he is in trouble because all his advantages are then gone, even the net game is not much of a factor anymore because the other guys are getting close there.

Federer's best surface after grass is clay

Hard courts are Djok and Murray

Federer played the worst he has in a while. His first serve % in set 2 was only 10%, LOL! IT was unreal how bad he played! I think Federer is honestly embarrassed after that. Murray played mostly bad too, but he had some good moments in there and wasn't as bad overall. It was a pretty ugly match.

seriously? did you watch the match???? I doubt u did, because if you did, you would have noticed that Federer didnt seem to wanna be there one bit. He looked like he was goin thru the motions. Who Triple-double faults???? That whole match it looked as if Federer's mind was else where. You cant tell me Fed cant beat Murray on hard court.

And not only triple-double faulted, but did while already down in the game 0-15. You'd think while it was 0-40 and he messed up his first serve, he would be careful with his second serve so he didn't double fault to get broken, but NOPE!

It was seriously an embarrassment how bad Federer looked. It's one thing to have a bad match or get outplayed, but to smash the net and hit the ball so far out so often, and not be able to serve to save your life, is a joke. About half way through the second set, the stat on the screen said Roger's first serve % was just 10%. That is unheard of.
