#52raonic is playing nowhere near the level he was playing at against murray.
but there are certainly glimpses of it. he's definitely not playing a "karlovic" sort gameplan so he still has a chance to make a match out of it.Comment -

#53Not sure I've ever seen a player hit the net more often than tonight. It's gotta be something like 95% of the points Roanic loses are because he smacks the ball right into the net. He almost never hits it out, it's always right into the god damn net. You'd think he'd be able to make an adjustment by now.
He had break point earlier in this set, 40-15. Then he hit the net 5 times in a row and didn't convert! Unbelievable. This is so frustrating to watch.
Yes, some of the times are because Nishikori hits great shots that make him mess up, but the majority of the time, Raonic smashes the net for no reason.Comment -

#56Jesus f*cking christ! Raonic almost got broken right back since he just LOVES to smash balls into the net. It's maddening how he just can't stop torpedoing balls into the net. He must have bet that he would get over 500 unforced errors or something.
Someone needs to tell him this isn't hockey.Comment -

#59And what's up with these commentators talking up Nishikori like he's this unstoppable force? They keep talking about how he's going to be number 1 in the future, and they just said he'll be top 4 soon. They also called Raonic a "just a stepping stone" for him and basically keep saying he's the uncrowned champ of the tournament.
Nishikori is skilled and on the rise, yes, but he won't be top 4 even remotely soon. Future #1? I don't see it. And saying Raonic is just a stepping stone and the tournament is already his? How biased and unprofessional can you be? All they've been doing is hyping up Kei to an absurd amount and gushing over EVERY shot he makes while ignoring everything Raonic does.
Now the commentators are saying Raonic is mentally broken and lost the will to compete because Nishikori held serve. These tards need to be fired. The bias is f*cking embarrassing.Comment -

#60I understand that, but to hit the net THIS much is still absurd. It's comical how much he hits it.Comment -

#62This is comical. During this set, I seriously think Raonic has hit the net more times than he's hit the other side of the court.
Now he double faults by smashing the net twice in a row. His first serve has been getting erased all night by him hitting the net. Then he's stuck with the second serve, which Kei has a MUCH easier time with.Comment -

#64Guys with excellent returns like Ferrer and Nishi are difficult matchups for taller players. Ferrer did the exact thing to Del Potro when he whooped him at Wimbledon. Nishi did it to Berdych all day long as well the other day.Comment -

#68Nishikori needed to face a better opponent at this stage, to really put him to teh test.
Easy $ and points...He's pretty much breezed through this match for the most part.Comment -

#69I'm not even exaggerating. The commentators are literally completely silent when Raonic wins a point. They only speak when Nishikori wins the point, and they blow it out of proportion and act like he hit some 1 in a million shot that no player has ever hit before.Comment -
