Albuquerque vs Petrick
I saw this on Bet365 a few minutes ago, and I immediately recognized Charlotte Petrick. She is a 15 year old Canadian, but trains in Florida. Used to play OTA junior tournaments with my friend's daughter, and now I get to bet on her.
She still plays OTA tournaments when she's in Ontario actually. Check her out on tennisontario.com (the site is down a lot though
). OTA has a very good ELO like ranking system now and Petrick is ranked 2nd in the province U16.
So Petrick for the win @ 3.5:1.
Just kidding folks...
I cannot imagine her beating a WTA player in Albuquerque, ranked around 500 in the world a couple of years ago. Has been off the radar for a while now, but knowing that there's plenty of OTA girls - only a year or two older - that Petrick would regularly lose to (not to mention girls her age from other provinces), I have to say...
Albuquerque in two (1.8:1).
Not a big play, because I don't have much info on Albuquerque. Who knows what she's been doing for the past year, certainly not playing tennis...
