obviously you found a scumbag. No legit local is dealing that kind of crap. Maybe bump a half or even a whole on the home team but never with two different numbers. Guy you were talking to was just letting greed get the best of him.

Locals do have advantages if you find ones that are legit or even some pph guys.

ive bet with locals that get a feel for players---know who bets dogs or favs---who is fan of certain team----shades lines---pick your spots

Let's be realistic though. There's a big difference between meeting someone you know at a Tasty Freeze parking lot to pick up 8k in cash on a Thursday, and getting 3k checks once a week and then depositing them, knowing there's a 2% chance that check will bounce because the feds seized the account it was in. Sure, you know it will be re-issued, but by then, your bank account went negative (because you spent the money), you got charged fees, you are now looked at more closely, and it's embarrassing.

I'm not knocking offshore, I LOVE offshore, and let's be fair, if your local bookie gets busted and his money seized from the earth he had it buried in, you could be out of luck to collect. But the feds have made getting paid and depositing a major pain in the rear, regardless of how solid an offshore shop is.

Personally, I prefer offshore shops, but there is a huge advantage to getting paid in cash, in full, when you want it, fast, with no headaches. Man, I miss the golden days of Neteller.

I use locals because they inflate the lines on favs. Easy pickens. They are running Carolina panthers at -3.5. I'm unloading on Tampa.
