when requesting a check is it good to stay under $1000

I'm no high roller but have deposited 40K all 3K checks over the last few years and have never been the least bit concerned. Probably the only issue would be if you did this in like a months time maybe.

flags for what? check cashing? Last time I checked, banks were in the business of cashing checks. If for some reason your bank doesn't want to cash checks, I believe there are a lot of banks out there that would.
