Lou can you please chime in? I'd love to hear your thoughts on their strategy here.

#38I got even better. I haven't used BetOnline in... I dunno... probably over a year. Today I got an email that they're giving me $50.00 in freeplay. I was tempted to use some of it, but kinda wondered why bother? If I can't actually receive the money, betting it is just a waste of time.Comment -

#40As many can probably tell, I'm extremely concerned as well reading about the 25% bonus to cancel. I think we'll both get paid the withdrawal we've been waiting on, but I am more concerned with betonline MOVING FORWARD. It is crystal clear they are having financial problems with the acquisition of sportsbetting and I don't see how this can even be disputed.
"Processing delays" where they email you a bonus offer to cancel? Give me a break.
Originally posted by losingmymindi requested a wire payout of 15,000 on 7/16/12, it was approved. On August 10, it changed and said PAID. Yet I did not receive anything. I keep being told every time DELAY DELAY DELAY. Then i got the email about 25% bonus to cancel withdrawl. I am very very concerned.
Can anything be done? Can anyone help? login - **** at betonlineComment -

We were aware they were offering cancel-payout-bonuses to sportsbetting players who might have wanted to bet this season anyways. The offer under the BetOnline brand is new to us and it would seem they are trying to get those Sportsbetting players taken care of faster by using BetOnline's pay-ers. We'll get an update tomorrow.
I requested 100 dollars thru M G yesterday morning and I got a similar email asking to cancel it to receive the 25% bonus. I said no and asked them to just proceed with my original payout request.
Then they offered me 35%. I said no again and so they offered me 45%. I again said no thanks and to stop sending me offers. The payout is listed as "In progress" so we'll see if their time table of 12-36 hours holds true.
I finally got paid $1,200 last week after waiting over a month so I'm not sure if they are short on funds or not. But if they can't even swing a $100 payout that should be a red flag to us all. 5 dimes here I Come!!
Update:
Even though I was told my payout would be delayed and I should just take the bonuses it was processed today and I just picked up my M G from Walmart. Took about 30 hours from start to finish. Basically don't believe what they tell you because my payout wasn't delayed at all, they just try to scare you into keeping the funds online and hope you'll lose it back to them.Yup, kept getting emails from "Lars". He finally said okay but that if I change my mind the offer will still be available.
But get this... I log in to check the status and all of a sudden I have $50 in free play money today. Not sure what's going on but I've read other players received this bonus as well today without agreeing to it or anything.
That said, it does come off as unprofessional to ask more than once before deposit season. It's a technique a book without the funds might try and will scare the heck out of players. In fact, Royal Sports was famous for doing this when mgt wanted to show a good quarter by not showing a big # in the money out column until the following quarter. Back then there wasn't such thing as processor problems but everyone who was betting then remembers.
Got a call yesterday from BetOnline offering me a 25% freeplay of my withdrawal request (that I have been waiting on for over a month) if I cancel my request and have the funds placed back in my account. The guy told me they don't want this hanging over their head for football season (which is understandable) but concerning at the same time.......
.............I'm so tired of them blaming the delays on PROCESSOR ISSUES which in my opinion is complete bs. I'm surprised no one else has posted about this freeplay offer, or if they did I must have missed it. Lou, do you know anything about this? I have no official complaint to file, (outside of waiting over a month for my express check withdrawal but I'm being patient) but I would love to know who else has gotten the same offer from betonline.Last edited by SBRAdmin3; 06-06-14, 03:52 PM.Comment -

#44Bill's comments were a phenomenal read and are the first comments on SBR's behalf I have seen that had anything negative to say about betonline. Quite frankly I was tired of seeing only positive publicity for a book that is CLEARLY having issues.
I agree that they seem to be TRYING to find resolutions but in usual BOL fashion, they don't do a good job of communicating that to their clients which is my absolute biggest pet peeve with betonline. Thank you Bill for being honest with us and I look forward to hearing more from you soon!Comment -

#46It's tough waiting and nothing wrong with players taking the squeaky wheel approach. What we can tell you is if the $ was with Sportsbetting.com and not taken over by BOL, you wouldn't have a date that many of us had confidence in.Comment -

#47Yea its all comforting that they gave us a date that we will be gettin paid, just like they told a bunch of us we will be gettin paid in august nd first week of sept. So whats gonna happen Bill when they dont pay us in mid sept is sbr gonna have another talk with mgt, and tell all of us that they reassueed you by november we will be getting paid. And sbr will wait till than to downgrade and put this joke of a book on blast.Comment -

#52So your tring to say betonline is a good book? Like i wouldnt mind if they told me from beg that ill get paid in mid sept, but the fact they keep lieing pissesme off. Just be upfront nd tell us ok you guys are gonna get paid in sept. I wouldnt be so upset than hate being jerked around. Ill give them
Another chance nd see what happens in mid sept but i wont hold my breath. But i appreciate you giving us an insight about whats going on, hopefully this time they keep their word.
Hi Poker. I remember that. The whole sportsbook.com group was auditing accounts. Things were more dangerous for players then but easier to read. I personally wouldn't deposit with any book that is having processing delays of any kind. There is no rush and always options.Comment -

#59They did or maybe a better way to put it is more was stuffed into their mouth. They haven't gone into detail publicly because it's not the player's problem but we sat down with mgt and they showed us the #s and tried to explain the deal. SBR was aware the original Sportsbetting.com was slow-paying many. More than you hear about in the forums (They had a rec bodog/sportsbook.com-type of client base). According to the agreement and their #s, Sportsbetting owed players $1.5 million more than what BetOnline assumed in debt in the deal. That is not a relatively big amount but tracking down missing transactions and verifying which Sportsbetting players got what was a chore. Many old payments listed as completed were not. SBR gave BetOnline the benefit of the doubt as they assured us, as a good sportsbook would, that this was entirely in their hands and not something that would be shifted to players. No rollover was going to be applied to the Sportsbetting balances and they weren't going to disown this brand in any way. Had BOL took Sportsbetting in while calling it a white label first, and not put their name on it, to see what the financial guts were like, players would be getting stiffed or again waiting for original owners to pay. The $1.5 in player balance debt is also all in withdrawal requests requiring a large amount of transactions. By October they told us Sportsbetting payouts would be sent. Considering where Sportsbetting players would be positioned, they are very fortunate. Hundreds of players are seeing funds hit now.
