I got even better. I haven't used BetOnline in... I dunno... probably over a year. Today I got an email that they're giving me $50.00 in freeplay. I was tempted to use some of it, but kinda wondered why bother? If I can't actually receive the money, betting it is just a waste of time.

As many can probably tell, I'm extremely concerned as well reading about the 25% bonus to cancel. I think we'll both get paid the withdrawal we've been waiting on, but I am more concerned with betonline MOVING FORWARD. It is crystal clear they are having financial problems with the acquisition of sportsbetting and I don't see how this can even be disputed.

"Processing delays" where they email you a bonus offer to cancel? Give me a break.

SBR gave BetOnline the benefit of the doubt as they assured us, as a good sportsbook would, that this was entirely in their hands and not something that would be shifted to players. No rollover was going to be applied to the Sportsbetting balances and they weren't going to disown this brand in any way. Had BOL took Sportsbetting in while calling it a white label first, and not put their name on it, to see what the financial guts were like, players would be getting stiffed or again waiting for original owners to pay. The $1.5 in player balance debt is also all in withdrawal requests requiring a large amount of transactions. By October they told us Sportsbetting payouts would be sent. Considering where Sportsbetting players would be positioned, they are very fortunate. Hundreds of players are seeing funds hit now.

We were aware they were offering cancel-payout-bonuses to sportsbetting players who might have wanted to bet this season anyways. The offer under the BetOnline brand is new to us and it would seem they are trying to get those Sportsbetting players taken care of faster by using BetOnline's pay-ers. We'll get an update tomorrow.

They are going down the list. With those M G deals they are allowed a certain amount of transactions per time frame. It's not the amount.

Their issue is a bandwidth/bottleneck problem. After a book loses a processor they can only move X amount instead of Y. So, they try to make good by seeing who'd like to opt out... It's like being at the airport and they announce they are overbooked and ask who'd like to take a $400 credit and a hotel ticket to stick around and catch the next flight. It's not that they don't necessarily have the means to fly you.

That said, it does come off as unprofessional to ask more than once before deposit season. It's a technique a book without the funds might try and will scare the heck out of players. In fact, Royal Sports was famous for doing this when mgt wanted to show a good quarter by not showing a big # in the money out column until the following quarter. Back then there wasn't such thing as processor problems but everyone who was betting then remembers.

Processor issues are a reality today for most books. We need to read between the lines in each case and look at the track record. Still, processing issues are issues. In the past year A rated books have lost their rating until they regained their advertised payout time. Historically a good sportsbook or not, it matters to the player experience. Right now we only have a handful or BetOnline withdrawal delays from a batch showing it has been an isolated incident (even though restoring these players has not been a fast enough process). If BetOnline actually can't meet advertised payout times we will downgrade them as normal. We will talk with them again tomorrow but it seems they are trying to be proactive as we don't have new BOL complaints.

Bill's comments were a phenomenal read and are the first comments on SBR's behalf I have seen that had anything negative to say about betonline. Quite frankly I was tired of seeing only positive publicity for a book that is CLEARLY having issues.

I agree that they seem to be TRYING to find resolutions but in usual BOL fashion, they don't do a good job of communicating that to their clients which is my absolute biggest pet peeve with betonline. Thank you Bill for being honest with us and I look forward to hearing more from you soon!

Lets just hope we get our money in mid sept cuz i gotta wait till than to withdraw like others. I recieved 2 checks so far for 2500 nd still have over 30k in my account hope i can withdraw that money nd recieve it without all these dumbass games they play.

It's tough waiting and nothing wrong with players taking the squeaky wheel approach. What we can tell you is if the $ was with Sportsbetting.com and not taken over by BOL, you wouldn't have a date that many of us had confidence in.

Yea its all comforting that they gave us a date that we will be gettin paid, just like they told a bunch of us we will be gettin paid in august nd first week of sept. So whats gonna happen Bill when they dont pay us in mid sept is sbr gonna have another talk with mgt, and tell all of us that they reassueed you by november we will be getting paid. And sbr will wait till than to downgrade and put this joke of a book on blast.

real back in 2004 he helped me with mysportsbook.com they owed me about 19000.00 and he worked very hard too help me get my money and he told me i would get it and i did and have never used any book without checking it out on sbr first. thanks again bill.

They aren't known for doing a great job communicating quickly during issues. They did tell us they realized they need to pay another million much later after talking to players. CS lapses aside, yes BetOnline has a good reputation. Going back about 8 years you wont find a report of a player being cheated or not paid.

Hi Poker. I remember that. The whole sportsbook.com group was auditing accounts. Things were more dangerous for players then but easier to read. I personally wouldn't deposit with any book that is having processing delays of any kind. There is no rush and always options.

Woke up to a 0 available balance after hitting a couple real nice two team baseball parlays last night. This is after I got a decent payout last weekend somehow. Anyways the girl tells me "due to a glitch in our system since August 6th, you were playing with a negative balance in your account." Complete B.S. STAY AWAY FROM BOL

Thanks Bill for that info. I THINK I've received a little more piece of mind. I'm an original Betonline player. Been with them a year. They've always paid me on time up until my last six payouts with in the past month and a half. My payouts have been delayed and beginning to worry if I'm ever going to receive them. Do you have any update on the status of BO's situation?
