Had a problem with the grading of a Ryan to win VP bet. They rectified the sitaution fully and deserve public props.

#7Yeah, was this a case of betting it really late when SOME news outlets were still waiting for confirmation?
Either way, what were the odds?

#8Perhaps you're right. But since it was a settled issue, I didn't feel the need to go into detail. I just wanted to give them a compliment, since usually all you see is on these boards is people complaining about a book when they do the wrong thing.Originally posted by rumpleWhy start a thread if youre not going to tell your dispute? #10guesser, can't reply to your pm as I haven't met a min. post requirement. i made 4 small bets @ 8-1 from 9:38-9:47 PST. they kept citing a Las Vegas Sun article which has since been updated that broke the story (before CNN was reporting anything, jaja). No original copy available.
Mitt Romney introduced Rep. Paul Ryan of Wisconsin as his Republican vice presidential running mate on Saturday, turning to the architect of a deeply conservative and intensely controversial long-term budget plan that would remake Medicare and cut trillions in federal spending. In the campaign to come, Republicans will present economic ...Comment -

#12Yeah, one of the bets was. I bet it early on Friday morning, when the news came down that Romney was going to announce on Sataurady Morning. Then I bet a little more later, when the speculation was zeroing in on Ryan. AFAIK, Ryan was not confirmed on any place until after 2 AM EDT, and that was NBC News. My bet in question was about 2 hours before that. When the confirmation, from NBC and CNN happened, Heritage, as well as the other places I saw that had the prop(Sportsbook.com group and Paddy Power) took it down. They, as well as the other places, kept it up while there was speculation, but no confirmation, that Ryan was the guy. In fact, Heritage lowered the odds on Ryan before they took it down, reacting to the news speculation. As long as the bet is up, it is bettable, IMO.Originally posted by princecharlesYeah, was this a case of betting it really late when SOME news outlets were still waiting for confirmation?

#13My bet was made before they lowered the odds, so that may be an issue in your case, I don't know. Like I said, my opinion is that if the bet is up, it's bettable, and the fact that they lowered the odds would make me think they were reacting to the Speculation, but it wasn't confirmed yet, and they were just reacting to the spec. The fact that you made 4 bets after the odds were lowered may be their issue in your case. I wish you luck and hope they satisfy you.Originally posted by mouthguesser, can't reply to your pm as I haven't met a min. post requirement. i made 4 small bets @ 8-1 from 9:38-9:47 PST. they kept citing a Las Vegas Sun article which has since been updated that broke the story (before CNN was reporting anything, jaja).
