Sportsbooks need to stop requesting player pw's in chat
Its pretty much what the title says.

This is the most absolutely ridiculous policy that every sb seems to apply.

    after this thread: http://forum.sbrforum.com/sportsbook...npaid-etc.html

Their justification seems to be in one of the following line of thought:
    1. Industry standard (weird, i have never been asked for my pw in any other facet of online gambling)
    2. We're Honest (hahahahahahahahahaha)
    3. people in host country can't even bet (Virtual Private Network)

No other website seems to be so apathetic to such a ridiculous, unnecessary invasion of privacy. something needs to be done about it.

    Possible solutions:

    1. Have players login to access live chat. This confirms identity without having your passwords stored as anything but hash-marks.
    2. Request a pin number that would be sent to your registered email address. you could provide this pin number to the live help operator.

Im sure you guys can think of more. But i think SBR needs reward or some how distinguish books for not requesting players pw's during live chat (maybe an A+++ in service)?

LOL its part of the industry , how are you supposed to get serviced then ?

I agree with OP. I'd prefer that lower level workers didn't know my password. I'm guessing that some internal fraud is going on with BetOnline and that's whats with all these poker transfers.

Think about how easy it would be? You work for BOL. You get a password to an account with $10,000 in it. Find two buddies. Give one the password to log in (preferably someone in another company so its not traceable to you) and transfer funds to 3rd party. Get money out fast. Split the pot and thats your salary for 6 months in these third world countries.
