California's online poker bill on hold

California senate bill 1463 was tabled from the state's committee meeting agenda in Sacramento. Ive been following this pretty closely for the past year or so. From what I can gather there is some kind of general consensus that online poker can be a stable profit source for the govt and other partys involved.

The tribes,horse tracks and cardrooms will all be up for licenses right now the tribes are holding this up. Some are worried to much power was given to 3rd partys including Las Vegas casinos(CA and NV gaming interestes notoriously hate each other) there is also some rumor that this was put on hold to give time to all the involved parties to form the required alliances to operate in an online environment.

One thing that may push lawmakers is seeing Nevada move forward with its regulation of online poker. They just issued their first license this week and hope to have games running by years end.
