If the odds were wrong the book can cancel nothing at all shady about it.

Check post #27 of this thread.

As I said, they once let a line go for me that was +130 that should have been -130. The bet won, in case I didn't make that clear. I'm not sure there is a single other book that would let that go. I have had Canbet cancel bets claiming "obvious line error" for lines that were 8 cents off the consensus.

In my mind, The Greek has earned a lot of benefit of the doubt. If Wager Web made a mistake like this - even if it was totally honest - they would deserve to have people all over them and I would be leading the pack. It would look like part of their ongoing pattern of behavior.

I wouldn't even be surprised if The Greek, after speaking with SBR, gives this guy some kind of "fair market value" settlement. But I personally will not hold it against them if they don't.

The guy took a shot and it didn't happen. You have to know when you take a shot like that that it is very unlikely to work.

          Lost4,
TheGreek mgt. has credited you for the win at the intended odds of +660. 1,140 EURO has been added to your account.

Don't make things so easy: you know very well that every serious bettor only tries to bet on value odds. Very often the border between playing a bet with a very good value and taking 'a shot' is not very clear. Maybe in this case it was 'a shot'. I didn't care about this event and don't know what the correct odds had been.
Anyway I had a similar dispute with TheGreek some time ago (some members of the forum may remember it). These days I played that bet at TheGreek just because I found a rather good arb (not an exceptional good arb) but not because I was intending to take a shot. Finally they valued the bet for the price they thought would have been correct like they did here too. In my opinion a fair end of such kinds of disputes where the bet has been cancelled _after_ the start or even after the end of the event.

+1650 was top market at the European books. +6600 to win, 1/4 odds for the place (Top 5). +660 is a way off fair market imo.

I think greek should pay him out at 16.5-1 and be done with it guy probably knew he was betting a bad line but his wager did win and if he lost they woulda kept the money so why not pay the guy at the correct odds for winning

Seems the prize was obvious wrong.(and you know it) I should have emailed them before the game-start( If the bet was good or not) Then this problem never comes.

Greek is one of the best sportsbook out there.
