BetIslands New Software Better or Worse?

I don't need any mobile site but as far as what i've seen of their software via computer i've had no problems.

I'm able to make bets everyday from my phone.Their mobile site is fine

i dont use mobile sites.. full site on android phone is best

I like the new site.. tons more options.. most of the kinks are worked out anyway but if there is one they missed just pm/email/call jon

The mobile site doesn't work for me. I think the new format is an ugrade but it definitely has issues. Limits keep changing on me daily. Other than that, more options on the new software make it competitive with other A+ books.

The font is kind of gaudy and takes up a lot of space but overall I like it.

Sports software is better, but the racebook got horribly worse. Racebook only has major tracks, takes forever to grade, and dont have morning line listed next to horse.

exactly! betislands rules show that they take many many tracks,however they are only taking a few major tracks,no excuses accepted

Yeah, I don't play horses but I noticed this too..As many books do, BetIslands seems to have copied their rules from another website and have yet to "make them their own"..I'm sure they'll straighten this out soon enough..

Overall, I really like the new software..I did notice a few differences though that I haven't seen mentioned..

On the new rules page, I noticed that tennis wagers must now go one full set for action, as opposed to the old BI rule of first ball served..I prefer it this way, although I always seem to be on the wrong side of the "tennis action rule" anyway..

Also, I noticed there is now a cap on parlay payouts (2 teams 10/1, 3 teams 18/1, etc..) I don't play parlays that often so it may have been this way all along and I just hadn't noticed..

Again, I like the upgrade..just hoping they get that casino going soon so I could lose my cash a little quicker..

The older site at times was more of a chore to check off options and scroll to the bottom of the page constantly to submit.. the new one is a little more direct I feel like. Both are fine in my opinion.

Talk to them this morning. Rumor has it they are probably going back to old software. The new software is good and bad. Good is the more parlays with tennis and such. You have next hour games and next 4 hour games. The negatives are the racebook looks horrible. It shows no scratches, goes off 4-5 mins before post. The other day I was betting wrong race and didnt even know it. The pending bets all run together on parlays and there is no breakage so i cant tell what games go with what. On straight bets you cant select multiple soccer leagues and such you have to go through one by one and look. I can now log in on my ihpone but when i go to select a bet it kicks me out. The morning always gives me cant bet because my maxium wager is 0 before they open. The other problem i had the other day was i couldnt bet any nba in parlays only 1st quearter. Cost me quite a bit of money. I think if the new software was working properly and a new racebook it would be better but with all the problems i can understand why they are thinking of going back. I just hope they keep the options they updated

Yup,when there was alot of golf and soccer matches that scrolling forever was for the birds.Much more direct now.

30 minutes and counting after the race is over and horse bet not graded. Bet Islands really needs to switch back to old horse software.

It takes about 50 minutes to grade each horse race. Amazing.

you're lucky, I cant even get a horse wager in now... it says my balance is 0 and im trying to risk 1200, neither of which are true... just cost me $500 when I couldnt bet Daisy Divine at Keeneland

That happened to me when trying to 0 my account out on a horse wager. Take a cent off and it will accept the bet(another dumb glitch)

they had mine set on min of 2 dollar wagers on everything. Trying to do a dollar pick 3 for 18 dollars and it says must bet 2 dollars

Every company tries to improve things, sometimes things don't go smoothly. The great thing here is that Jon and the management realized it and are keeping their players as number 1 like always.

I really liked the new site and didn't have any problems with it. From this thread, it sounds like a lot of people did, so I can see the rationale for going back to the old software while these problems get worked on. That said, I hope once the kinks are worked out, you guys will go back to the new software, as I think it's a nice improvement.
