Bad Odds bet-at-home

Hey Guys,

first I must say my english is not very well.

Last time I would place some bets by bet-at-home. But I find odds like 1.4 to 2.3 and 1.25 to 2.7 in 2 way.

Is this normal ?? Why do they make that ??

Has anyone the same experience with bet at home ??

Yes, they have some of the worst odds in business, yet they are very popular in eastern europe.

All local books in Croatia(5 or 6 of them) offer odds 1.75-1.75 on O/U for everything, even NBA,NHL,Champions league, and people still bet like crazy.

I see odd 1.85, you see odd 1.85, and everyone else see 1.85 on your ticket.
You have to be extremly stupid to not tell the difference between the odds and the payout.
You just gave proof to everyone how stupid you are. Your payout is 176.19 instead 185 because of the 5 % tax that you pay to the state.
All local bookies pays directly after you place a bet 5 % tax to the state while online books doesn't. If you would like to see 1.85 odds after the tax has been paid then local bookies must be offering 1.94 - 1.94 and this is something which only online books with minimum running cost can afford to themselves (several times less employes, no street shops etc). When you place a double, treble etc. influence of 5 % tax is smaller, but I know that you can't understand this, it's to complicated to you.
In Croatia local bookies can't go much above 1.85 - 1.85 (business running costs are high) while assholes from Bet At Home can, but obviously don't want to.

Barba, I knew all that about 5%, but that still doesnt change the fact that your odd, as a player, on O/U for NBA match is 1.76-1.76. Doesnt matter who took the juice.If you wish you can pay another 5% to Pope in Vatican, I wont.
I m not against paying tax, but this system is ridiculous, you couldnt beat house even if your brother is Ante Šapina(famous match fixing guy).
And my point was that there is a lot of people that dont care about odds, and dont even know the real meaning of odds.
100e stake, total payout 176e, and you still think your odds are 1.85?

When we, professional bettors, refer to the term "european odds", we usually refer to the ratio of the payout and the stake, odds = payout/stake .

So, if the payout is 176, and the stake is 100, then the effective odds are = 176/100 = 1,76

I know that this 5% they call tax, but for me, from bettors point of view, it just means that the odds are actually 5% lower than it is listed on the website. I don't play doubles or trebles of course.

I forgot to mention that I am betting in croatian local bookies. The odds are 1,76 / 1,76 if you play singles.

This is just ridiculous. How can they manage to survive, when there are great online bookies that offer great odds. betting on odds 1.76 / 1.76 ??? You can give all your funds to the bookie without even betting since the long term result will be the same - you won't win.

100% legal, but as I said people are uneducated and sceptic about online betting.I reckon that in croatia, about 80% still bets only in locals.

I agree . I am from Albania and the same situation is here . Low odds 1.80 - 1.80 in local bookies ... online gaming ? People are afraid of their money,they think that bookies do not pay . I have to say also that people do not have many knowledges how to put the money in account . I think the same happens in all eastern ex comunist countries.

I think thay have lower odds, because they want to earn more money ?? But I don't will bet on this sh*t odds.
