Cheers Katsale, Yep VIP is coming very very soon. Any current customers will be kept at the current commission rates for a significant period of time. After that their wager volume will have to be above a minimum threshold to qualify for the current and better rates. We will release more details in the coming weeks.

Reading between the lines it looks as though commission rates are going up but existing customers get a break whilst having the opportunity to build up loyalty points to offset it.

Personally I think more important than a VIP program is reverting to a net market commission basis rather than charging commission on every bet. That will bring traders back into the markets and prove a huge boost to liquidity.

The debate about volume based comm vs Net win will always be there and it is one that we are asked from time to time . All I can say for the time being is that matchbook is committed to the volume based commission structure it allows us to incentivize our market makers in making the tightest most liquid markets. We are confident that with our commissions as low as they are and with all the additional improvements that will surely come on board over the coming year Matchbook will remain and continue to be a great place to bet regardless.
