Anyone else cash intertops checks last week? I did, and it came back this morning. Great Book.

    Hi thewolf,

Sorry to hear about this. I know of zero US-facing sportsbooks that have never had a payout that method bounce. It's always a risk, but the good books like Intertops are experienced in remedying.

Just shoot the copy of the returned check you're given from your bank in a scan to them, and they'll reissue payment and credit you any bank-imposed fees.

IMHO as a business owner I have zero tolerance for a book or any business for that matter that bounces a cheque. If one chooses to do business via cheques then one should make sure their business account(s) keeps a sufficient balance to cover all possible pending transactions.

They are issuing me a ** free on Wed. THat's fine. I went to them because I had similar situation with 5dimes. I guess they all do it. It's just takes you off guard when you check your bank acct online and see a returned check.

You clearly have no idea how processing payouts works for offshore sportsbooks.

          Your analogy is horribly flawed.

I know exactly how processors work with offshore books and as such I suppose issues may arise from time to time and can be forgiven but you're forgetting that this can be an early warning sign that a books in trouble financially. I'm not in any way saying that Intertops is in that situation, honestly i've never played there.

never had a problem with intertops. but stuff happens at the best of sportsbooks. it's how they handle the stuff that happens that is important. seems they handled the problem already.

I'm not sure you totally digested what John Dough & Lou said. In this day and age of USA facing sportsbooks, you will read about these instances everyone once in a blue moon and there is no relation to a bounce and financial solvency. Chances are if the book doesn't have any money, they're just not going to pay period.

Didn't the almighty (compliment) 5 Dimes have an issue last fall with a processor and checks?

Your original comments make no sense if this were true.

Without getting into a childish back and forth, people can choose to look at it as certain usa serving books doing a little dance once in a while or as has been the case any number of times, a book starting to have issues. I'll repeat for a second time that i'm in no way singling out this or any other book for that matter, that's not my intention or point in this thread. A number of other threads more then attest to the lengths and methods certain books will sink to if it fits their needs. Essentially I rate books I use like a bank would when evaluating a loan application, are u going to trust the guy with an R1 rating or an R9 rating. I'm thankful for this sportsbook forum because it allows one to get a lot of input on many books. Of course I will admit being in Canada is a great advantage because there's very few limitations on where to play.
