I find it hard to believe that the books made everything up with second half action. But, I could be wrong...

Surprised 2nd half action is comparable to full game lines. Aren't limits 1/2 full?

There was a lot of late money on patriots so books did not lose so much on side bets. Nice video, would be interesting to hear what pinnacle has to say about superbowl betting

well, say you have 60/40 money on the Giants/under for the game...but then you have 80/20 (or more, it was nuts) on pats/over 2nd half...your action evens out... from what i hear, not all places had late rushes of Pats money either...

I'm sure there was a decent sized crowd that got cold feet on their big game bets and hedged as well, wish this was talked about.

What he said about opening at 3.5 is the dumbest shit I've ever heard

                              The number is the number

If they opened at 3 they could've gotten hurt just as bad if it moved to 3.5

                                      dont buy any of it.
books balance all action if their management is responsible one. live off the buy/sell price differential.

When we say books get "killed", to them, they only make little or no profit. But who cares, we are feeling good about it because it does not happen often. And many of us make back the loss of the whole season with one game. Yeah!

no, books do have exposure on many games/bets, and especially the super bowl

of course the odds are in their favor, and it's always much more likely that they will win than lose, but they can and do lose money on specific games, and they tend to be especially vulnerable on high-profile games like the super bowl, and if certain disaster situations happen (like this year if the Pats had won by 3) they can absolutely lose a ton of money
