I hope you scanned a copy of the original check with the bank's stamp that it was "stopped" so you have something to show for it.

Sorry your having issues, i havent used them in a while but ive had an account with them for years and they always paid me. Your problem seems to be an issue with the processor and things like that happen from time to time. If u need your $ faster i suggest using a much faster place like 5dimes or other A rated places.

Why do people say "sounds like an issue with the processor."? If that is a valid excuse why wouldn't every sportsbook just blame the processor and never pay. Seems like a terrible excuse. Any thought?

U said u got a chx that didn't clear, go threw, bounce? All of the above when your dealing with chx is from the processor, the books dont make the chx they pay a client to send the chx or payments to u. Sometimes these things happen and thats why its a processor issue, sometimes they send out chx that bounce all in a batch if u know what i mean. Sorry u are having trouble and u already had to wait 8 weeks which sucks so bad.

Legions answer is 100% correct.

If a sportsbook never paid, they would lose all creditability, get badmouthed on forums like SBR, and eventually go under. So for non-scam books, it's in their best interest to maintain their business, not rob players in the short term.

Totally agree with John Dough. A book will be quickly outed for not paying out. Bet Online went through phase a few months ago and it was everywhere. Turns out it was a wire issue and now they don't have a problem (or at least I didn't the last time made a withdrawal.) If you're in the US, it's not like we're placing bets at the MGM. This is an overseas operation guys. Give them a little wiggle room.

We can monitor it for you but our suggestion would be to do as they say and follow it with them for a week. I'd call daily and be the squeaky wheel in what is likely a batch of players owed. Sportsbook.com has kept funds owed to large winners but that's likely not the case here where they are trying to pay you.

Just an update:

I got a call from Joanne from sportsbook.com today. She said the funds were put back in my sportsbook account. She said they would expedite the withdrawal for $2500. I requested a wire today. I will update here on my progress. Thanks to all for help! It made a difference!!

Update: sportsbook.com now claims that they need a color copy voided check even after they have already sent me a wire in the past. They already have the documents needed for a withdraw or they wouldn't have allowed me the option. After I requested the funds they then claimed I needed to send more information. This is absolutely fraud! Joanne at sportsbook.com assured I would get funds when I talked to her last week. Seems she hasn't followed through on their part.

this book is notorious for using the 'we need more documents' stall tactic. I remember I requested a 3.5k payout and they said they needed my I.D among other things. So I scanned the necessary documents and e mailed them. A few days later I noticed they returned the funds to my account. I contacted them to ask why my payout wasn't processed and was informed the scans I sent was "blurry" and I needed to resend. Total b.s because they where clear as day. I eventually was paid but they do anything they can to get out of paying.

I spoke to Dierdre at sportsbook.com and she said they will proceed processing of a wire. She said at the latest I would have funds by mid part of next week. I will update once received.

I received a check from 5dimes in less than a week. Very pleased with their service. I definitely recommend them.

On the other side, I'm still waiting on funds from sportsbook.com. It's been since November 2011. I will update once I get funds.

I was promised a wire from sportsbook.com and still no wire!!! Just to recap that's from Nov. 2011 to now. They have made so many promises it's impossible not to believe this is a fraud. I spoke to Dierdre there and she promised it would be received. No money.

Not sure the purpose of your post Goblue unless you work for sportsbook. They are a scam. I can't get a dime from them! I have emails from them and all communication going back to nov 2011. They even denied placing a stop-payment on a check even though I have an email from them admitting they placed a stop-payment. It's unreal! These people are a fraud. If you hav money there, assume it is gone!!

I think in the end you will get paid. It might take awhile but after you get the check and it is not bounced/returned maybe consider using a different online sports book from now on.

Yeah I've already started using 5dimes and received a payout in less than a week. Rude customer service people, but I don't care as long as they pay me. Sportsbook.com must be in quite the bind if they can't pay $2500 to me.
