    can books track ip addresses??
reason im asking is my 2 mates want me to place bets for them while there at work (12hr shifts) from there own accounts.

we would be placing the same bets really, would books know that the bets are being placed from the same pc?? and would this matter.

nothing illegal going on. were following the same capper

of course they can track IP

they bust players all the time for using same IP address, they will more than likely suspend ur accounts and probably wont take long to find out either, especially if u start winning

id be safe and play at different computers, cant be that hard

It's a horrible idea. Have them call in the bets during lunch break if they have to.

You could do it with a VPN or a decent proxy service but it isn't worth the risk.

Most books have clauses in their Ts and Cs stating that they can/will close accounts and confiscate funds for this sort of thing.

never use a friend account in your computer bad bad idea, even SBR will lock your points if you do that.
every sportsbook was a app for phone so it is easy for them to make the bets

I never had any issue with IP addresses and I've bet from work, my house, my cell phone on 3g network, 4g network, from my cell phone on wifi at my friends house, from wifi on the bus and the list goes on. I've never had any book say anything to me. I think it's kind of a gray area in the first place. how do they know you aren't just betting at the same starbucks as another stranger and happen to be following the same capper? that's not that far fetched.

Using different computers to access one account is ok.

Using the same computer to access different accounts with the same book is the problem.

Install an IP switcher program to your computer. Each player may have a different IP. I use and recommend Hotspot Shield which works well. You may use the orginal IP and your mate starts the program and can use a different IP

NO!!!They ll not detect your IP address!!
I had few accounts on few betting sites and only thing what you need to do is delete your cookies before logging in with new account, maybe you can just restart your wireless connection but trust me they ll not detect you.

Most bookies will have the ability to track the mac address of the computer from which the bet is placed, this, unlike an IP address, is bound to your computer.

No. Only your ISP will know your MAC address. It's not transmitted any further past the very first hop that your connection takes. That first hop is always from your computer to your internet provider. Once the data reaches your ISP, it's sent out to it's next destination, and your MAC address is no longer visible. A book will never know your MAC address from just logging into their website. You would have to install software on your computer, such as a poker client, downloadable online casino, etc.

Wrong-o. Check out IEsnare and which books are using it. MAC address, CPU ID, all kinds of other little "digital fingerprints" to try and positively identify you, and report your "reputation" to other IEsnare customers. I am sure there are other toolkits that do the same sort of thing.

People generally have no idea what objects are being dumped/implanted on their machines.
An active x object like that would give the book everything they need to know.
