book to book money line variances
Is it normal to see big money line differences on favorites? Like what is considered significantly different?

For example, I noticed tonight Creighton is -1700 at 5dimes, but is -1100 at Pinnacle..

is this a substantial difference or just normal fluxuation?

The -1700 is now gone from 5Dimes.

It is a substantial difference but not as huge as it may appear. The difference in the implied probabilities is 2.8%. To put it into context the difference between -120 and -135 is 2.9%.

This is about a difference as you will realistically see at 'reduced juice' books because a greater difference would mean an arbitrage exists.
