Hey guys brand new to the site and was just going to share my experience about bodog. Joined During march madness 08. I did well with my picks for once and rolled up alittle over a grand. I cashed out mid june and just now recieved my check today via fed ex. I went to cash the check and noticed that now the bank that issued the check is from canada. My local bank deposited the check and said it would take 30 days to clear since it is from out of country. Very nervous if this check will clear, any thoughts? My thinking is that maybe since it is a foreign bank that it will clear no problems?

Hi Cow, Welcome aboard.
Bodog has bounced checks this summer. Most were replaced or are in the process of being replaced. Recent batches have cleared fine and there are no signs at this time that your check won't go through. It is not uncommon for banks to hold checks from out of the US and to a lesser extent, out of state.Comment -

#3Wow bill thanks for the quick reply! Glad to be aboard. Def seeking a new book, now that I found out it takes a grand total of 4 months to recieve a cashout. However, getting paid is better than no pay! Any suggestions for a college student looking to invest about 500 bucks into a book for the fb season.Comment -

#4It depends on a few things like if you just bet spreads/totals or if you are into props/parlays and whatnot.
Americans around here seem to like Bet Jamaica a lot. It's not my personal favorite but I can't quibble. They take the bets, grade them, make payouts with relatively low fees.
If you are more serious about your betting and understand the value of juice, I would recommend Matchbook which takes American accounts. It's an exchange, not a sportsbook BTW. Basically the same thing. Great deals though. But not a place to go for props/parlays/etc. It's also maybe not the best place if you like to bet the more obscure college games.Comment -

#6First off, Welcome to the SBR forum sir
Bodog as well as some other books have had some serious processing troubles these past few months, so I can understand your frustrations. Books these days are trying there best in order to make sure players get there funds as quickly as possible, but it's getting very hard these days to find relieable methods.Comment
