Canbet - playing wording games when it comes to withdrawals !!! [Very upset]
I should have read the review of Canbet before placing a simple bet with them, they are giving me the slip regarding my withdrawal.

I am already verified with them and I deposited via Moneybookers which is "better" than using a credit-card I assume, I used my MB balance, not even a card deposit via MB - all I did was placing a simple bet on North Carolina to win minus the spread a few days ago:

Unlike many other members I don't have any "bonus" issue with Canbet, I never take bonuses and never use them, my only problem with them is that they are completely dishonest and they keep on making me wait based on change of words and definitions according to the way they like it.
    See the chat conversation below:

Angela: Welcome to Live Chat Support. How may we assist you today?
Me: Is my withdrawal of £381 going to be processed today?
Angela: what is your account number
    Me: XXXXXXX
Angela: the withdrawal was approved yesterday and it will be processed next week due to Christmas holiday.
    Angela: Withdrawals Policy
Angela: Please note that your withdrawal will not be deducted from your account balance until such time as the withdrawal is processed. During this time, you will still be able to use your balance to bet with.
Angela: Withdrawals will remain on hold for a period of 48 hours, thereafter they will be processed on the next business day. If you request a withdrawal, but change your mind within the 48-hour pending period, you can reverse your withdrawal and continue betting.
Me: No, I was told it would be processed within 48 hours, why is it going to be processed "next week" now?
Me: The withdrawal is pending, as per Canbet withdraw policy, withdrawals will remain on hold for a period of 48 hours, thereafter they will be processed on the next business day.
Me: Also, it still shows the withdrawal "Pending" and not "Approved" as you say
Angela: Approved means the withdrawal request is approved to be processed after the pending period is finished
Me: It's a Moneybookers deposit, not a CC one, why does it take so long?
Me: When this pending period will be finished?
    Angela: after 48 hours
Me: And when that will be?
    Me: According to your records
Angela: it will next Tuesday as Saturday, Sunday and Monday are holidays.
Me: I requested the withdrawal on Tuesday
Me: 48 hours are passing today
Me: Tuesday --> 48 hours --> Thursday (Today)
Me: Why can't you process the withdrawal tomorrow --> Friday?
Me: I don't understand how long are you asking me to wait, I'm going to report this on SBR Forum to warn other members of how you do business, this is completely a lie!
Me: You said, you wait 48 hours, then next business day you process the withdrawal.
Me: That "next business day" is Friday.
Me: I am also now raising a complaint with your regulator
    Me: Kahnawake Gaming Commission
Angela: The 48 hours covers today and tomorrow.
Me: Since when an hour can cover both days?
Me: According to your record in what time did I request the withdrawal?
Angela: The 48 hour pending counts from today
    Me: Are you joking?
Me: I have requsted the withdrawal on Tuesday, you're telling me the 48 hour pending time counts from Thursday? What happened in the last 48 hours - this is a time that doesn't count?
Angela: it was approved yesterday. Then there is 48 hours pending and it will be processed the next business day.
Me: No, it is not approved, because it is still PENDING
Me: I can still click on "cancel" if I wish to cancel it
Me: I don't want to see it pending any longer, I want to see it processed.
    Me: Hello?
    Angela: yes
Me: I said my withdrawal is not approved, because it is still PENDING. I can still click on "cancel" if I wish to cancel it --> You said "it was approved yesterday" - so why are you lying to me?
Angela: i told you that approved means the withdrawal request is approved to be processed after the pending period is finished
Me: You're just playing with words, this is completely unethical.
Me: You define when is "Approved", when the "48 hour" time starts or finishes, so basically you define that I need to wait 200 hours for my withdrawal to be processed, correct?
    Me: Angela
Me: I have requested the withdrawal on Tuesday, the 20th of December 2011, correct/
    Me: ?
Me: Today is Thursday, the 22nd of December 2011, correct?
Me: How many hours have passed between the 20th of December and the 22nd of December, can you try to calculate perhaps?
Me: You said it yourself, I'm quoting you "Withdrawals will remain on hold for a period of 48 hours, thereafter they will be processed on the next business day." - You said it, right?
Me: Let me try to analyze what you've just said ---> Withdrawals will remain on hold for a period of 48 hours (From Tuesday for me until Thursday), thereafter they will be processed on the next business day (which is Friday).
Me: Is this not your policy?
    Me: Are you there?
Me: Over 10 minutes of no response
Me: I will be closing this chat now due to lack of response from your end, but I will make sure to inform others about this wording-game you do to define "approved" time and "48 hour" period, you don't do that in business, you need to be strict to your word and honest about it, and you definitely make me not trust you anymore.
    Me: Bye for now.

That was it so far, I'm tired of chasing them, they are just doing whichever they feel like when it comes to withdrawals.
The thing is I placed a bet with them on a Spanish football on Barcelona today, then I regretted it so I basically placed both Over and Under bets on the same thing (and lost some £ as they make £ out of me) - I don't care about myself placing a bet, regretting it and placing an opposite bad - but this game ends tonight - who knows how long it will take them to process this additional withdrawal ?

All the other books have already paid me except for them, they are super slow to process withdrawals and play wording games with you, be-careful !!!!

Me: 10:00am UK time now, I'm waiting for a response.
Angela: Your withdrawal request was approved on 21/12/2011.
Me: That is not what I asked, please answer my question.
Angela: I have already told you when you will receive the fund.
Angela: Should you have any further question, you can email to payments@canbet.com
Me: Why are you not answering my question?

Not to mention this Angela was very slow to respond.
    So annoying!!

According to the policy listed on their site: "Withdrawals will remain on hold for a period of 48 hours, thereafter they will be processed on the next business day."

So you submitted it on Tuesday which takes you to Thursday sometime to meet the 48hrs if you were working down to the minute. Processed the next business day after that would = Friday if you interpret the 48hr clock to have started from the exact time you submitted the withdrawal request. I'm not sure that's how most companies operate though ie when I submit a transfer request with my bank and it says it takes 1-2 business days, the business day doesn't include the day I submitted the transfer. Even here at SBR when people submit Pro applications, they're told to contact us after 4 full business days have elapsed as we have a 2-4 business day turnaround time frame.

It's frustrating but I think it's one of those semantic things that there's not much you can do about to resolve any quicker.

I guess just wait and see if the money hits your account on Tuesday and if not, fill out a Complaint.

If you want fast withdrawals go to Pinnacle, it takes 5-10min
Stanjames and Betsson are very fast too, few minutes to a few hours.

No problem... I've found myself in a few jams myself with banks when they've whipped this same thing out on me over the years. And by no means am I sticking up for Canbet as I've never played there and have no feelings about them either way. I was just trying to give you a perspective on where it looks like Angela was coming from. Throw in public holidays and it gets even worse unfortunately.

Definitely keep us posted about your withdrawal though... I'm curious to see how this turns out.
