#18so we can take it to mean that space aliens are NOT invading and that 5dimes is not doing this to protect against space aliens coming to Earth to specifically funnel out our gambling accounts????

#23Last week someone got into my account and transferred money into the casino. I was about to make a bet, and noticed that my balance had dropped to a couple hundred dollars ( from a comfortable 5 figure range ). My heartbeat began racing as I ran to the phone. After about 15 rings no one answered, and my heart rate increased even further. So I got on the chat line. While trying to explain to the rep what was happening, I checked my balance --- and it had increased to over $50,000. I was not exactly coherent, and while the rep was giving me the standard questions my balance kept going up --- to 70,000 then to 80,000, and finally as the rep finally checked my account history and locked the casino, my balance ended up just under $114,000. After a couple of hours on chat, they finally figured out that someone in South Africa was winning all this money in the casino. My balance was put back to where it should have been, and they told me that I had better run a scan on my computer. I did, and found two trojan viruses. My password had to be changed. This might have something to do with the thread title.Comment -

#25It's about time they got up to date with security. A couple of years ago I tried to change my password, and was told I had to mail it in along with copy of drivers license. Too much hassle. Now they have the Change Password function. Everybody needs to treat these accounts just like you do your banking accounts.Comment -

#26i can't believe they HAVEN'T done this in the past. its common security measures.
and like was said earlier, use your same password and just add a 1 to the end of it. if it ever prompts again, change the 1 to a 2 and so forthComment -

"A couple of years ago I tried to change my password, and was told I had to mail it in along with copy of drivers license."
I inquired about 2 months ago how to change my password. Nothing had changed from your description above of a couple of years ago - was told I had to get them a copy of my DL (I think a scan was ok). So Likewise I skipped it, because of the hassle and because I'm putting myself at risk of id theft by giving them the copy of the DL.
Wasn't aware that now there's a Change Password function, but will change mine today, and agree that they should have provided this option years ago.Comment -
