    Sportsinteraction cancel bet after match!!!
Well this is about yesterday NHL game Carolina Hurricanes - Toronto Maple Leafs. Game started 23.00 (gmt+1) and i got this email from Sportsinteraction at 01:34 (gmt+1):

    xxx,

The bet you recently placed on the following event has been cancelled, due to: bet was a push

    ----------------------------------------
    BET DETAILS
    ----------------------------------------
Event: Toronto at Carolina (Moneyline - )
    Date: Nov 20, 2011
    Time: 23:05
    Selection: Carolina
    Amount: xxx
    ----------------------------------------

The amount of your bet has been credited to your account.
    Best regards

    Sports Interaction

So i wrote back bet wasnt push but a win and they wrote back:
    Dear xxx,

Thank you for contacting Sports Interaction.

Your wager was voided due to the incorrect odds being posted. We sincerely apologize as the incorrect moneyline odds were mistakenly posted for a short time, as a result any wagers placed with the incorrect odds are voided.
Tadej, please take a moment to rate my service to you by clicking the button below. This feedback goes to my supervisor. Thanks!

    So i wrote back this:
Seriously? You send me that bet was void(due to the incorrect odds beeing posted) after match is finished??? I mean first you had that odds for at least 2 hours and call that short time. Second as i mentioned other bookies send email as soon they realize their mistake not after game is finished and bet would have won!!! This is not fair i will check at sports forums what others have to say about this. I kinda think if bet would lose i would lose my stake since you voided bet after match was finished!

Have a nice day i sure dont have one!

    xxx

If they cancel bet before match sure fine but they didnt.

I am waiting reply from last email and will post it when i get it.

If they dont give me winnings i wont use them anymore. Canceling bets after match is finished is just f*cked up!

Was the line you bet (the incorrect line) the odds that were available at the time the game started? Or did you bet the game much earlier in the day?

I betted much earlier in the day so they had plenty of time to cancel bet. I betted 11:45 AM (gmt+1) so 11+ hours before game started!

If you compare to other books line was incorrect. I wouldnt sweet and start thread if they would cancel bet before game! Its not like it never happened before(not sure if with them) but after game so i didnt place bet elsewhere

If you bet on an incorrect line you have no case IMO. Of course it's bad practice to cancel it afterwards, but in no way, a book is obliged to honor bets on an incorrect line. You can bet on it and hope they won't notice and honor it, but don't complain afterwards if they cancel these bets...

Sure i can complain here are facts:
-i placed bet over 11 hours before match,
-they had this bet open at this odds for over 140minutes,
-they cancelled bet after match was finished!

I dont give a f*ck they aint god or sth. They had 11 hours to cancel bet before match which if happens i cant complain. But they way all happened is far from ok!!!

The question is not if you FEEL you have a case, but if you DO have a case. And you don't. You admit to have bet on a bad line, case closed. You can file a complaint and send emails and stuff, but in the end they won't honor your bet anyway, NO book honors bets on obvious line errors (if they have noticed the error, that is).

That's your opinion. I think he clearly has. If I place a wrong bet by accident I am never allowed to cancel it. If bookmakers offer a bad line they give themselve the right to cancel the bet, which is unfair enough. But to cancel a bet AFTER the game is simply not acceptable: Then they can wait if they win and take the money but if they lose they cry foul...

It's not my opinion, it is a fact. It doesn't matter if you feel treated unfairly. SBR will not side with the OP here because he bet on a bad line and even admitted he knew it was a bad line. Bookmakers reserve the right to cancel wagers on obvious line errors in their T&Cs.

And the following statement is just ridiculous in my eyes:

"Then they can wait if they win and take the money but if they lose they cry foul..."

                  I can reverse this into:

"Then the player can wait if he wins and take the money, but if he loses he can still file an SBR complaint and hope for compensation."

not 100% true. sbr always advises (at least they did) a book to pay out at fair market odds, instead of the wrong odds, if a bet has not been cancelled before kick-off. the player can be blamed for willingly taking a shot, but a book is supposed to cancel within a reasonable time-frame, which in this case they didn't. player tried to freeroll, book tried to freeroll, so both should pay.

I really "like" these persons who think that only because they have a certain opinion they can call that a "fact".

It's a fact because the book will not agree to honor an erroneous line. If you think this is correct or not is something different and a matter of opinion, but not if the book is going to honor the bet or not.

noyb, you're right, it happened before. But personally, I don't think it should happen, because there will be a second dispute about what fair market odds were at that point. This would be especially true for live betting. What I meant with "SBR won't side with the OP" was, they will not recommend to honor the bet using the incorrect price, which is what the OP demands.

Advices to OP. Don't bet on obvious erroneous line, it is just not worth it. But If you decide to risk it, don't say you know it is a bad line. It hurts your case.

Here I agree, don't do it. But IF it happens and the book doesn't grade it as a win after the game was played already, fight for your money. It happened to me several times (especially when I still was not experienced enough yet) and in the end I ALWAYS got paid - not always according to the odds I took but at least according to lower odds.
