Is BetIslands not part of the Jazz family? One is bankrupt yet the other is flying a banner at the top.
What am I missing?

Not in the same family. I play at both, but I'll be done with Jazz (ABC) and their $500 max weekly withdrawals by next month. Same software for both and I think they operate out of the same building in SJ,CR. However, ownership is separate which is reflected in payout abilty. BetIslands is far superior to Jazz.

There is clearly some close relationship and I would like to know the details. Just saying "Jon is good for it, don't worry" isn't nearly enough. Better reputations have turned stiff overnight and they weren't already part of a sunk operation.

BetIslands' rating has had two recent increases, Shari. They are now a B Book.
PS Any more specific info to report on the "established bookmakers" running BI?

Yes I know. I was just quoting the part of its review history that stated SBR confirmed it is not backed by Jazz.

SBR ratings are not to be trusted anymore.
Isn't all their fault, but also it is hard to trust anyone right now.
Same building, lines, software = fishy.
I could see this book implode easily, like the former forum heroes: BetPhoenix.

Hi guys,
Our affiliation with Jazz is basically we outsource our wagering clerks to them. SBR has met the backers of Betislands that are well respected bookmakers in the credit industry and have been for over 10 years.
Now as far as Durito says that our financial backing should be questioned because we offer free half points during the week is a bit absurd to honest , if the half a point does not apply on 3s and 7s from Monday through Friday then the book is really not being exposed at all.
For some that want to call us a bubblegum shop , please find me a player that has not been paid or has has issues cashing money out from us , not only in BI but going back a few years when I was behind WC.
I understand offshore betting may make some people nervous , but until I skip a payment or take 3 weeks to send a check when I advertise same week then I will take all that comes with that , the business model from BI is to keep it simple with decent limits , great CS , no BS payouts and making the customer feel content betting with us.
Like I said before payouts speak louder than words , I could post on here all day but if we do not pay or break our promises it is worthless. We pay clients and our cash only model allows us to not have to deal with alot of the burocracy and delays that some do.
Cheers,
Jon

Jazz is a decent service provider and a slow/no-pay book to big players. It's similar to a B rated book serviced by Sportsbook.com Group. The ownership and money is different but the host is the same. 95% of the time when the host is the same there are owner ties as well. That is not the case here.

in the future since betislands is a giant up n comer and really gaining ground and rating, will they pull away from jazz completely and host their own site and phone guys/gals?
wouldnt this be the next big move for BI? especially since they have really improved efforts on a lot of other angles.. some players are waiting for this move to happen before full involvement I bet

Exactly well stated. Why have any ties with a no pay book? Break away would be the smart call. However financially it seems unfeasible.
So financial backing may actually be an issue deep down.

Unlike books with no capital who do a white label to avoid up front costs, BI isn't dependent on Jazz. Jazz is set up well to support third parties and take in revenue as a provider. Using Sportsbook.com and one of their white label brands as example, the white label doesn't process their own money and sportsbook.com has player funds. BetIslands handles their funds as an independent book would.
BetI is still a new book. SBR and players will and should scrutinize it. It is our opinion that Jazz is not a factor.

BI might turn out to be the best shop ever, but for anyone to say they are a top 3 shop right now is pretty fukkin ignorant
sheep flock to pretty bonuses and people that address them as sir and guarantee the payouts in a week
anyone can run a good shop while thingsare going well
hey lets wait til they get buried a few times or lose a shit ton due to processors going down/being caught before we anoint them the next big thing
calm the fukk down on BI, although if u lose all ur money bc they go under...u fukkin deserved it
