    THEN STRAIGHT BET

    120 / 100

Okay, I just wanted to double check my math on this.. I have $120 on NYG to win $100 +4.5 points at BetIslands.. I put a rolling If bet of the full balance on Scotland in soccer today at +105..

I went onto the chat to verify what my balance will be if I win..

You are now chatting with 'Jim'
Jim: Good Afternoon, how can I assist you today?
jason marlow: Hello. I'm just wondering if you can tell me what my exact Available balance will be if I win this wager. Ticket#:12413051
jason marlow: ( I just want to make sure I'm clear on this rolling-if bet )
    Jim: Let me check.
    jason marlow: Thank You.
Jim: May I please have your password?
    jason marlow: **********
    Jim: Just one more second.
    jason marlow: Ok.
Jim: With what you have in your account it would be $386.
jason marlow: I'm confused.. because if the Giants cover +4.5.. I would be putting $220 on Scotland ML at +105.. therefore shouldnt my balance be over $440 ?
    Jim: With out that bet.
Jim: You would really win $246 out of Tck# 12413051.
jason marlow: I'm sorry i'm confused. I'm just trying to understand here... if the Giants cover and Scotland wins (which they already did) my balance is only $386? I expected it to be over $440
    Jim: My mistake.
    Jim: $477.
jason marlow: well I would have $220 on Scotland which is +105 ...right?
    jason marlow: isn't that $451 ?
Jim: Let me check the math once more.
jason marlow: Ok. Thanks for your help.
    Jim: Okay, it's $20 in original risk + $126 + $100 + $231.
    Jim: So $477.
jason marlow: I think you're looking at the wrong play.
jason marlow: $120 in original risk
jason marlow: but $100 profit if NYG covers
    jason marlow: plus*
jason marlow: so $220 on Scotland ML at +105
    jason marlow: = $451
jason marlow: I think you're looking at my 3 team parlay.. $20 risk.. which is a different wager.
    Jim: I sincerely apologize.
    jason marlow: am I correct?
jason marlow: I just wanna make sure I'm clear

    (still waiting on his response)

    IF WIN ONLY STRAIGHT BET
    [241] GIANTS (NYG) +4½-120 (B+½)
    THEN STRAIGHT BET
    [28413] SCOTLAND ML+105

    120 / 100
this is what my ticket looks like..

    IF WIN ONLY STRAIGHT BET
    [241] GIANTS (NYG) +4½-120 (B+½)
    THEN STRAIGHT BET
    [28413] SCOTLAND ML+105

    120 / 100

I should have $451 if both win (scotland already did)
    so if NYG cover....

    CORRECT?

First post as an SBR Pro..
thanks to whoever takes the time to read this and responds.

Thanks. nothing against you Jim.. haha.. I shouldn't have even had to double-check.. the reason I did was to make sure I'm wagering the full balance and not partial on Scotland..because it doesn't say anything about it in the ticket, and the phone call was kind of cutting out haha..

I thought an if bet your second wager was only what your first wager was or less, so if you had 120 to win 100, your Scotland bet would only be 120 to win roughly 130. Final Balance $350

        anybody else?

Well some sites will let you determine if you want to roll over the entire amount or just the original or even smaller I assume that he selected roll over everything I know this is an option on 5dimes I do not know about Betislands however.

            Wrong.

Your if bet is for $100, and your then bet was also $100. You don't get to shoot the whole bet+winnings.

You are able to decide how much you want to risk on the second leg up to the full amount (risk+win) from the first leg. I assumed from the OP that he did exactly that.

Question to OP: Were you high when you bought a 1/2 point with the NYG +4? Since when did 4 become a key number in football?

                      This is the rule:
                      · The amount of any of the conditional (if bets) wagers cannot exceed the amount of the original straight play.

Did you specify the wager amount when entering the then bet?
Looks like you only have $120 (or $100) in action on the second leg, but can not be $220. Not all employees know every rule since it is a new book. You may want to PM Jon to clarify.

                        4 certainly is not has as key as 3 or 7 is but 3, 4, 6, 7, 10, 13, 14, 17, 20, 21, 24 are all key numbers in football.

I have a dumb ass local book that let's me buy on or off ANY number for .05 cents. Long term a money maker.

Great deal if you can get it--you should be cleaning up. My point was why does the OP pay 10 cents for a number (4) worth about 6 cents? And then he questions Jim about his intelligence?

I'm not questioning Jim about his Intelligence, I'm questioning whether or not he was high today..btw I absolutely LOVE betislands...so if it seems like I'm giving them a bad name at all I'd like my post to be deleted. I'm just trying to clear this up, that's all...Also... I called their wagering line.. and my balance will be $451 if the NYG cover +4.5....

BTW.. I don't usually buy half a point here.. I just have a strange feeling that it's going to be a REALLY close game..and it might make a big difference in this situation..I see one of the teams winning between 1-6 points...

Got it all figured out. thanks. should have just called them..MY BAD. I take the blame here. SORRY Jim!

this is the correct answer...seeing as how you already won the 2nd wager, it works in your favor they don't know the rules

11 is calling asking what's up. If you're going to do 13 and three numbers the point-spreads don't reach he's wondering how he got left out. In fact better hope 1 and 2 don't catch word of this post either as they'll be calling next.
