William Hill negotiation in bet

On William Hill, I was just about to place £600 draw no bet double on Chelsea and Celtic tomorrow and I hit place bet and it then came up William Hill cannot offer you this bet but we can offer you it at £500 you have 20 seconds to accept this bet. So I did but thought that was very strange, never encountered that before.

If you continue to play there and show them you're no dill you can expect to see far stricter limitations than that in future.

You've never encountered limits before? I would be really happy if I was able to place ~500£ bets at WH. I was limited to peanuts after about 10 bets or so.

Is Will Hill still planning to get into the Vegas market? Or is that just for poker?

I get that all the time at Will Hill. Was betting ~$1500 a pop for a few weeks (started with a $200 deposit), then after cashing out $17k total this month, they reject most of my bets greater than $500.

EDIT: on the bright side, they were prompt on all payouts.
