Yep, while online gambling is illegal in the US other non-US companies are sucking in your hard earned US dollars letting you gamble on their sites illegally and making the US weaker and weaker.

I really wonder what goes on in the mind of politicians at times. The US will most likely see legal online casinos and poker before they ever have legalised online sportsbetting. Yet online sportsbetting is legal in Australia while online casinos and poker aren't. Doesn't make much sense at all. But it's good to have someone as high profile as Trump at least talking about online gambling even if nothing comes of it... if he can't get some discussion going, then almost no one can.

Yes it does all seem somewhat screwed up looking at it like that.
Fact is the pollies have nfi and aren't sufficiently educated to differentiate between the various forms of gambling.
But I for one am happy to see online casinos banned. All the stats point to pokie machines in particular being the prime cause of "problem gambling".
Quite clearly poker is a game of skill and providing the operator isn't cheating then I have no problem with online poker being allowed.
