Problem with 5Dimes.

I have had an enjoyable experience with 5dimes untill now. Im not a high stakes better by any standards. When i was in Iraq, i bet alot of money (to me). now im out of the Army, in college and trying to get into law school. I dont have alot of spare money, but i put $200 into an account and made bets between $5 - $10 and $20 Dollars. I do it for fun now. I got my account up to $300 tho. Today, i made my bets and i went off to school. I had a rough day betting. Heres the results with 1 still pending.

All Bets were 1t 10:55am before i left for class. the top one is a phantom bet that was impossible for me to place because i was in Principals of of Microeconomics from 2:25pm - 3:40pm.

I saw the bet, i didnt place it. I logged onto the help chat and told the guy what happened. I told him that im not upset, its only 5 dollars, but its the principal of the thing and i am worried it might happen again if i make larger bets which i will do during the NFL season. He looked into it and assured me it was me. he told me i shouldnt leave my PC open so people can log on. I told him it was closed and locked in my apartment ... why would someone go on and bet on the Cubs for me ? He replied with this.

so you are telling me that your computer turn on by it self and placed a wager ?, I am telling you that it was posted from you computer at 2:25 pm and I know that because I ran the report and the wager is coming from your IP address , I suggest you to take the above measures so you won't have this problem again, but definitely it was posted from your computer.



like i said, i could careless about the money. This is just a hobby for me now. I dont think they did it on purpose, im sure 5dimes has no interest in cheating me out of my $5, but i know for a FACT that it wasnt me. Its impossible. Im just curious if this has happened to anybody else at any books. Im kind of worried about placing bets in the future now.

3 Possible scenarios:

1. You were drunk or high from the dorm party and can't remember placing that bet.
2. Someone else you know logged into your account made the bet for you.
3. Refer to #1

Like I said before, I'm not worried about the money. I do this for a hobby. I like challenges. I'm willin to bet there are alot more people like me, but they claim they bet thousands. I could careless. It's just the principal of the thing. Like I said before, I don't think 5Dimes is cheating me... Were talking about 5 dollars. I think there was a mess up between y system an theirs. I assure you I was on class when this phantom bet happened. My computer was turned off. Anyways, I was just seeing if anybody had any situations like this before at any different books. That's all

No never had this problem with them or any other book. I'd be pretty sure the issue is on your side. Maybe your computer is hacked? No idea why a hacker would through a couple extra $$$ on the Cubs for you But who knows. They're really isnt any other explanation based on the facts you presented.

I assure you it wasn't a hack job. Logic pretty much cancels that out. I think it had some thing to do with the line change cause it made me re accept the bet when I tried to place it.

Fill out an SBR complaint form,

I know in the past, people have left there accts open/accessible while at internet cafe's, libraries etc. People have even posted their acct #'s and passwords on these forums before.

But seriously, if your worried about it, from now on you should make a screenshot of your pending wagers, everytime you place your wagers.
