5Dimes - Why does this site look like it was coded in the 90's?
I've heard nothing but good things about 5dimes but why is their site so old looking? Are they trying to stay under the radar? And I used to think Sports Interaction was old school.

I'm just curious.
Also, when I make a parlay on their site, what does the IF button do? What are Round Robins and Open Spots? Can I just leave those blank?
I'm used to Sports Interaction where making a parlay is pretty simple.

I just signed up with 5 dimes. Looks like a great site to use without a lot of wagering options. Very professional. Like the minimums as well- $1 in the sportsbook, 25 cents in the racebook. Will be depositing next week.

As long as the page loads quickly is good for me. I don't need all the flash and sizzle. I need a quick in and out sometimes ya know.

RIF (rolling if) bets are good to use when you are confident of a bet's outcome but you don't have enough funds for another game that will start before the winnings are put into your account.

And The Greek looks like it was made by a VIC 20 or a Commodore 64. What's your point?

Bodog is coded much better than 5Dimes. Bodog is also a 150x worse book than 5Dimes. Who cares how it's coded? 5Dimes is an elite book.

I also prefer the simple looking sites like 5dimes and Greek. It is much easier to locate and see the important things --- like the odds for a given team. I must not be too discerning, because I have been looking over sportsbook numbers daily for the last eight years, active in eight to twelve sites at a time ( with about 50 books in all over this time ) and never realized that 5dimes and Greek were any less sophisticated than any other books. Even with all this experience over close to a decade, I have no idea what makes one site "look" old school --- but then, I am not impressed by what other bettors see as flashy looks. I would much rather be able to go right to the numbers.

I agree with branch davidian. I prefer a no frills site without all the bells and whistles. They post solid numbers, give you a lot of wagering options , in a simple and concise manner. A+ Book.

Plus, if you request a payment via snail mail on a Monday morning, it's in your mail box by Friday morning with a check that you could actually put in your account in the atm and draw on it the next morning.
Bells and whistles? No thanks

I prefer nice and simple layouts so 5D is Ok with me.
What matters (to me) is the range bets offerred and the speed, cost and options for payouts.
