My sportsbook rant

Firstly, Im not new at this, Iv been wagering for well over 18 years almost half my life.

Maybe I got use to placing my bets in TJ Mexico at caliente sportsbook where their would never ever be a moneyline attached to a point spread.

Nothing makes my blood boil more than seeing a football line like this for example
Philly Eagles +3 +115
G B Packers -3 -135

Just make the danm line -3.5

The worst part is I cant buy a hook or buy the hook when the offshore line operates this way.

I would like to see a sportsbook have the balls to put up a normal -110 moneyline attatched to a pointspread.

Weird thing to get worked up about. If it really bothers you, play at 5 Dimes or something. There are all kinds of betting options out there.

Agreed. Use more than one shop, switch to a shop that allows buying off the 3 (assuming it's for the right price), etc.

If you understand the value of the NFL 3, this shouldn't bother you whatsoever. Don't blame a book for not wanting to be exposed to a side/middle if the game lands 3, they have the right to manage their exposure however they see fit.

Sometime books don't like to move the line off 3.

Or just go to a book that lets you buy points

I have to agree. I see zero point in making the line -3, -135 when you can make it -3.5, -110

Players like it better, book gets more action. Seems like a win/win situation to me.
